He writes articles for a newspaper FFS. What allegiance's does he need to have? It's not like he is the CEO of ARLC

It puts articles in perspective when you know the story about the author. Like when Todd Balym rants and raves about Rugby League in a negative way it's worth noting that despite him being an RL writer, he is an ex-AFL journo and pretty passionate defender of the sport as I found out on Twitter one day.

He's a union fan and quite happy to admit it.

Give him Coogee Oval over Kogarah any day of the week.

He left for a promotion. More money, more interesting job, better job description, better title, probably a nice office. Like most people that switch jobs, he left for a better deal. Apparently Fairfax is a fairly hellish place to work at the moment though, so it must be a sweet deal. Hinds has gone the other way, so who knows.

The idea people are tossing up that you have to be 100% into RL to get paid to write about it is weird. Crime reporters don't have to like crime and the guy that works in the obituary section doesn't have to like death. I'd write about garden furniture or polka dancing for $200k a year.

No they don't.

But RL fans have the right to call them out when it's required.

That's why a guy like Mascord is the bees knees when it comes to RL journalism. He is a league man through and through.

Be lucky if he earns half that.

Brave piece from Webster.

I can't agree with his criticism of the knights and NRL though.

Employers have no place in regulating religious points of view.

What a ridiculous comment! Relevance? I suppose you are just as bigoted as Ryan Stig.

I suppose it is bigoted to assume that 2 fat slob men who live in the same area might have frequented the same fat slob mens club

Brave by Webster, but don't use it to bag the Knights. Stig is the moron, the Knights have distanced themselves from his backward comments.
