The Rorters most likely now have Freddy promising Origin starts to would be Rorter recruits in the same fashion Bozo did for Manly.

I’d let him go. Only reason you’d keep him around is if we are genuine premiership threats and we aren’t. Get some more games into the kids that will be here and try to find our next stud.

That's why he announced it now so he could get an early release.........off to norths with him imo.

Extremely disappointing news.
Can't blame the bloke for $1 mil per year.
Hopefully he doesn't go early as R20 has suggested .
With his future sorted he can concentrate on football and hopefully do a Sammy Burgess and lead us to a title.
I think it would be silly to release him early. He's not taking up much cap space as is and any decent replacement would be on more coin you would think.

Can't play him in first grade, he'll be about as popular as blisters on a marathon runner amongst the playing group.

Gutted also, outstanding talent.

Well we have him for 2018 and he must be selected every week.

Simply moronic to leave him out and then run bums.

He'll give his all for us regardless...and we'll need that.

Let him go. Keeping him is so regressive. But get a player in return.

Good on Crichton for getting 1 million a season though. He has to be one of the highest paid youngsters in the game earning over 1 mil.

The players all realise it's a business these days. They won't make it personal.
It maybe them making the decision next year or later on this year.
We didn't drop Teo or Burgess in 2014 so I'm sure Angus will still be one of the first selected every week.
I'm sure he'll give his all.

We were always a chance of winning the comp in 2014. We aren’t even a remote chance of winning in 2018. We are rebuilding and the worst thing we could do is chuck a player in that we know we’re losing next year. It just destroys the purpose of the rebuild. Give us Latrell for Crichton any day of the week.

I find it funny that Angus said “it’s not about money” and as soon as the roosters up their offer he signs with them. Lesson here is that “it’s all about money” and the roosters have too much of it.
