We were always a chance of winning the comp in 2014. We aren’t even a remote chance of winning in 2018. We are rebuilding and the worst thing we could do is chuck a player in that we know we’re losing next year. It just destroys the purpose of the rebuild. Give us Latrell for Crichton any day of the week.

It's was an up and down season and we only went to another level in the first week of the semis.

So be it, another reason to fire up against the Roosters. This will provide Souths with more money to spend in 2019 so let’s move on. As disappointing it is to lose Angus, I only want a player that wants to play for Souths, give him the opportunity to pay back Souths in 2018, but if he plays average, dump him and give a young bloke a chance to develop. I think that bloke we got from the Storm - Leuluai will be even better than Angus.

We have enough forwards to be competitive but need more strike players. I’d go for Latrell, he is on the verge of a huge career and is fast becoming a try scoring machine. Him and GI would be near unstoppable in our backline and I have a feeling GI would be more than happy to sacrifice his fullback position for the benefit of Latrell and Souths.

I don't want Sam in the back row unless we get a very good prop who will hold the ball and kill it in the middle like Taukeaiho......

So we have Murray and Fuimaono in the back row but not much experience there.....

We can't rely on the likes of Turner, Leuluai, Sutton, Britt to perform at the level that is needed week on and week out.......
