I think Hornby and Young genuinely stayed at the Dragons because they loved the club and wanted to see it succeed. Asst. coaches, particularly at the Dragons aren't paid as much as other teams, Hornby only left because he wasn't offered a new deal and by all reports he's doing great at Souths and I also read that Young was offered more $$$ by the Roosters to replace O'Brien, yet he stayed.

Whatever game plans McCannotWIN puts in place, the players might be playing to the plans but they fail with their execution. Our guys are not coached to do much thinking on the field and the way they play is too robotic.

When they come back, don't set them rigid game plans, just get them to play for fun and enjoy themselves and try a few different things. The comp to me won't be a serious one with what everyone has been and will be going through.

Agree DP- in the case of Young and Hornby as assistants to Mary, it's a case of you're either part of the solution or part of the problem.

By hitching his wagon to Mary for the past five seasons, the impression that Young gives is that he endorses Mary's methods. I know that Flanno has said some positive things about Mary but he's only just arrived and we all know it is BS and that he doesn't want to be seen to be disruptive until such time as he is free to take over the coaching reigns- hopefully in the near future.
