Certainly individual players should be honest with themselves - they're not doing them selves any favours by blaming others when deep down they know they've had a poor attitude. And they're meant to be 'professionals'. But the position of a coach of course impacts upon more people - and if they are going to paint a vision for a club in an interview process - I'd say you would respect and trust someone more who owned up to their failings but knew what they had to do to fix them, as opposed to someone you felt couldn't self reflect in an honest way. Who knows, Hook may have been completely honest in his interview, and then have been guarded in his public statements. Is Matty Moylan gonna do the same? Actually has he taken any responsibility at all ever? He’s got plenty of time on his hands at the moment, give us something Matty.
