It is called having an opinion. Jamie Soward does appear bitter.Anyone who bags Griffin or the club must hate us according to the brains trust round here. The most sensitive sports fans in the world.

Certainly looks that way.sowie is just a bitter ex footy player taking pot shots at his former club.

He did leave with class. He helped us out too. We didn't have to pay him out.You guys accuse anyone who questions hook or the club of the same thing. They are always bitter with an axe to grind, I’ll say it again, it’s really sad.
Soward handled his exit from the club with the utmost class, his comments at the time were anything but bitter. Now two years later he is saying things you guys don’t like so history is being rewritten and sowie is just a bitter ex footy player taking pot shots at his former club.

Everything Soward said is accurate
In the absence of naming names, which obviously he can't do, and bearing in mind he is talking about a coach whose side is running 5th of 16, this seems more like an opinion, and one that doesn't stand up well to the light of day. He might have got more traction if the side had lost the last game, but then that might just have been seen as putting the boot in to a side that is down.Soward said:his style is very one dimensional and it puts a negative feel across the side.
Same as Girds right?

It has to be remembered that journos are required to come up with stories. Sowie is just starting out, and is at the bottom of the pile, just like Girdler. So they have to get noticed. They do this by making extravagent claims that can't be supported or by stating the obvious while ignoring the circumstances.
Girds burst into print after the finals loss to the Broncos with the line that the Panthers attack was poor. We could all see that. In a game where our captain and main attacking fulcrum was out, we lost May during the game, and the Broncos were allowed to stand offside at will (read the gameday thread). We all know the coach needed a bit of help with the attack, but now we have Ciraldo handling that is it any better? Sometimes it is but this year the problem is defence, not always, but at certain times, like after conceding penalties and when not having possession for extended periods.
I think the fans have more agenda then ex players. In my opinion of course

The same ones who had the Cows winning it this year? At least we did better that them.He like many punters had us running 1st and winning the comp in 2017.

Lets see.
2014 we scored 21.08 points a game
2015 we scored 16.65 points a game
2016 (The year Soward claimed we played boring tactics) we scored 23.45 points a game.
2017 we matched 2014. There was 2 points difference over the whole year.
Currently this year after 19 games we are infront of the points scored of 2016 or 2017. Who knows how much we improve or decline that over the next 5 games.
So figures don't match what Soward said..
Defence is the issue that is the decline but no where does he say that
I’ve got no issue with what Sowie said, a lot of people agree with him. But IMO thus far Griffin has got us in a great position despite major injuries throughout the year, so there’s plenty of valid reasons/facts to disagree with his opinion today.
How I remember it too. May be worth seeing this again ... https://www.penrithpanthers.com.au/news/2016/07/04/jamie-soward-says-goodbye/
