He had to do it. Crichton was utterly exposed against the Broncos. DCE would have been wetting his pants with excitement. Dallin will understand the position.

I would've loved the opportunity and I haven't played in 15 years. Although Manly should have exposed Peach more with their kicking game.

It would not surprise me if Soward has spoken to Gus after reading this. Gus has very similar views.

We all have similar views?

You can only come from behind against the lesser sides.

Go 6 or more behind against the better sides and there is no coming back.

Gus knows that. We all know that.

It's nice to see Sowie making a living out of the game, and he did a mighty fine job for our club in 2014 before failing at the second last hurdle, but he was dropped to reserve grade by Griffin because he was a defensive liability and was being targeted, and his abilities in other areas no longer made up for his deficiencies. Rather than try to overcome his issues and fight his way back, he went elsewhere, which didn't work out. What this means is that by jumping on the bandwagon criticizing the coach who dropped him, he appears to be showing sour grapes. The way the side finished the 2016 season tends to vindicate Griffin.

I thought the same. Leaves a sour taste in the mouth.

That is what it was for me too. The fill ins were ok at 1st but just fell away too much

Girds got flamed last year on this forum for speaking his mind (and being completely right) about our club.

If we can't cop his opinion then the Milkman doesn't stand a chance.

Soward's just makes waves... The time for that stuff is after the season. I think Girds was on finals time too.

Poisoning the well (or attempting to poison the well) is a type of informal logical fallacy where irrelevant adverse information about a target is preemptively presented to an audience, with the intention of discrediting or ridiculing something that the target person is about to say. Poisoning the well can be a special case of argumentum ad hominem (is a fallacious argumentative strategy whereby genuine discussion of the topic at hand is avoided by instead attacking the character, motive, or other attribute of the person making the argument, or persons associated with the argument, rather than attacking the substance of the argument itself.)

This is from the western weekender.

It always seems on the money about rumours and stuff.

Let's see. Compare the way Gus handled it on 100% Footy compared to that Soward article.

Gus read like a discussion. Soward read it was the only reason for such things.

We aren't falling behind due to attack. Our soft defense is behind it. Hence why I asked about defence coaches earlier. Outside of WT, Dragons and Warriors games we have left in soft tries

After Cleary went down. Maloney said he said to the coaches we need a simple game plan to win games without him.

That simple gameplan allowed guys to fill in well when covering for injuries.

Now though every side needs to lift a gear or 2. We need to also adapt. Can we do that is the question.
