Watching NRL tonight. Bulldog says that Gould approached Hook in Jan and said he wanted he help out with the attacking structures.

According to Bulldog Hook blue a gasket and saying I will do.

From then writing on the wall

Better to listen and draw your own conclusions.

Basically club chairman David O'Neill reached out to Ivan Cleary without Phil Gould's knowledge. It is what prompted Gould to tell Griffin he wasn't wanted and led to him being let go this week.

So you could argue rightly or wrongly that Gould's position is being undermined.

OMG! You must believe in the tooth fairy. There is no way O'Neill would make an appporach without Gus's knowledge.

if it is reported that it will cost 3 million for Cleary a coach that has a less than 50 percent win ratio .Then perhaps its the people making these decisions that need to go. The club is not making a great profit. We can not afford to just throw money away
The football club has NEVER made a profit. It's losses are now averaging $6-7m per season. What's an extra few mill between footie mates.

Yeah, there’s a lot of noise, you can’t really know what’s going on. Gould is a great politician though, I’d believe there’s a lot of lies in there.

Herbert, I agree given there are many narratives someone has to be telling porkies in this situation.

At the end of the day, based on what I listened to on the podcast, Phil Gould has been undermined and that makes his position at our club untenable and I think that is a very sad day for our club.

I think it is going to backfire bigtime in the short and long term

Whether you like or dislike Phil Gould there is no one who could deny he loves the club, loves the current playing group and has done everything in his power to put this club in a position to compete for a position in the semi finals year in year out.

It is now clear he made poor decisions around the sacking of Ivan Cleary and hiring of Anthony Griffin but do you throw the baby out with the bath water or do you move on and minimise the damage.

I don't know much about O'Neill but making an approach to a coach of another club under contract for 2 and a half years without anyone's knowledge, to the point where he is approaching his club about his future, this is akin to Paul Carige levels of derp.

are you guys ready for griffo's biffo in 30 mins?

Yeah. I think Hook will oome out firing. I understand Brandy will be there too.

Hook doesn't put words together well. I understand from promo the sticking point with Hook is he says the players loved him. Qouting messages and texts since he's left.

Fascinating.
