I would beg to differ. Under the NRL's rules, where a player is coming off contract and they get an offer from another club, the club they are under contract does have a right to match the offer from the other club even if the player has signed a contract (e.g. Josh Pappali with Parramatta). Thus for Canberra, from a technical view point, they don't have any impediment. Whether they can persuade Milford to stay? That might be a different matter for all I know.
You are correct. Nothing much has changed for the Raiders, save for the fact he's signed another deal. But the situation is the same, good young player wanting to leave and we've got to try and convince him to stay
I was very confident Papalii would backflip, and he did. I dont see any way Milford backflips right now. A lot would have to change for him to backflip.
