Any positives from 2015?

Obviously 2015 no longer matters. However, looking to the future I think there's actually been some positives.

- Korbin Sims has set a standard for himself and looks to be fulfilling his potential - he'll only get better
- Gagai has continued to improve and is genuinely one of the best backs in the comp has had a great season
- Danny Levi has been wonderful in FG
- Tariq Sims has been great
- Snowden has been solid
- Stockwell has been great
- We've signed Trent Hodkinson

and the most controversial thing I think is a positive is we actually have a really good, young forward pack if they continue to develop

Vaivai and Mataora were great tonight I thought - especially Vaivai
Tapine was again solid. Side next year?

1.Jake Mamo
2.Chanel Matautia
3.Sione Matautia
4.Dane Gagai
5.Aku Uate
6.Jarrod Mullen
7.Trent Hodkinson
8.Kade Snowden
9.Danny Levi
10.Korbin Sims
11.Robbie Rochow
12.Tariq Sims
13.Jack Stockwell

14.Jeremy Smith
15.Joseph Tapine
16.Pat Vaivai
17.Micky Paea

Apart from the club pulling its finger out and signing a halfback (like we should have done years ago) I can't think of much.

Gagai has been excellent all year and I'm very happy we persisted with him after he didn't have a great 2014. Tapine and Levi have shown a lot of promise this year but I know deep down that neither will reach their potential unless they go to another club.

Seems like after years of shit juniors we're getting a good bunch, Gidley, Roberts, Leilua and Fa'alogo are gone, we have a proper f**king halfback, our NSW Cup prospects are coming through, Korbin is getting better with each passing month.

Sadly, none of it will matter, we're still going to be f**king shit and the laughing stock of the NRL.

I'm personally not as impressed with Gagai as most are. All I see is a bloke with a little bit of pace and footwork and not much else aside from shocking defence and ineffective contact when running the ball. The bloke goes nowhere unless he beats the defender which doesn't happen as much as it should. He gets dominated very easily and I wouldn't say he's great under the high ball. Decent player but heavily overrated imo. Easy to do when you compare him to Uate and co though.

I am however very impressed with Tapine and Vai Vai, they offer impact combined with size and skill. We need this more than anything. Levi also looks the goods.

At least there is some hope for next year. It didn't look that way a month ago.

Good OP Joel, agreed on all including the next years team you put out.

After tonight's game only thing I would change is:

10. Stockwell
11. K Simms
13. Rochow

Paea could earn the 10 too.

Was last night your first Knights game this season?
Let's bag the Knights best player 2 nights after playing in one Queenslands greatest victories.
I feel for him coming off such a high to this rabble.

He can't beat a defender and doesn't offer anything apart from poor defense LOL.
You do realise he's in the top 4 in the NRL for line breaks this season?
You do realise he's the top 3 in the NRL for tackle breaks this season?
You do realise he's in the top 6 in the NRL for line break assists this season?
You do realise he's in the top 7 in the NRL for try assists this season?

What do you want him to do? Cure cancer?

Name me 5 centres you would have in the team before Gagai ?

Not easy yeh ? If all of our players were in the top 5 in their position we would be leading the comp

Swap Rochow and Tapine for mine. Tapine needs to start

After watching last night, I don't think we need to sign an edge forward, I'd go with Korbin on the right edge, Tapine on the left and Tariq in the middle.
My forward make up for next year would be
8.Snowden
9.Levi/Clydsdale
10.Paea
11.K.Sims
12.Tapine
13.T.Sims

14.Levi/Randell
15.Vai Vai
16.Stockwell
17.Rochow

Now granted that's only based on one game but I really hope Vai Vai knuckles down and trains the house down in the off season, I hope Stockwell and Tapine can each put on an extra few kg.

Smith can barely keep up with the game, and is only capable of playing 40 at most. Next year he'll be even worse

Wouldn't mind Smith on the bench to come on when our starting props come off. We don't have many old heads so someone needs to babysit.

But with that said we have plenty of good young players that could go well and truly past him in the pecking order if they haven't already. Tough one
