Trying to show me something I already know and mentioned? Good one buddy.
look dude... i get it... your a Machida fan... im not hating on you mate...

i just cant believe Machida is getting another title shot off the back of one win against Ryan Bader.

thats disgraceful... he doesn't deserve to get a title shot.

he didn't deserve his first shot at JJ... he got KO'd by Shogun, beaten by Rampage... then scored a title shot for one win against a 48 year old.

then when he gets his shot... he gets destroyed.. and now he gets a title shot because he beat Ryan Bader?? the same Ryan Bader who got tapped out by Tito...

come on dude... you cant seriously think he deserves a title shot...

he's the only dude ive ever seen get 2 title shots off 1 win streaks...

Yes I can agree it's debatable whether it's worth it. Moreso not debatable about whether he deserves it, but who is the next best option to vs Jones/Henderson.

Machida was unlucky to lose against Rampage IMO.

I still think he is potentially one of the biggest threats to Jones. He has speed to catch him (I'm aware Jones beat him to the punch in their first encounter).

So whether he deserves it or not, I'm excited for the fight and can still make a case for Machida beating Jones.

there's ways to keep JJ busy without destroying Machida's career.

Hendo v Jones is in September...

Teixera vs Rampage is October... if Teixera wins have him fight Rashad in Jan

schedule Gustafsson vs Machida & Phil Jones vs Shogun... in late 2012-early 2013

all of those fighters would be in a better position to take on JJ if they win...

to keep JJ busy have him fight Daniel Cormier or a HW contender for late 2012-early 2013.

WTF?? you wanna throw Machida in there on the basis he has a one punch chance??

you may as well throw in James Te Huna...

there are match ups out there for JJ while the LHW division sorts it shit out.... Gustofosson, Phil Davis or Glover Teixeira are the guys they need to get in there...

If Cain beats JDS... than Daniel Cormier has said he is happy to go down to LHW to fight JJ.

JJ can also go up to HW for a fight with a HW contender... just like Anderson Silva did at LHW.

but jezz... you want Machida V JJ II.... how about for the co main event we have Forest Griffin vs Anderson Silva II??
Yeah by all means, don't give the former champ a shot, give it to the guy who's last win was against the always dangerous Thiago Silva, or the guy who got thoroughly dominated by Rashad Evans, or better yet the guy who's only had one fight in the UFC. You've gone full genius pal. I'd suggest just not watching if you're so disinterested in Machida vs Jones, meanwhile the rest of the world will enjoy it

I'm pretty sure they made it clear they don't want Jones fighting HW for at least another year or two.

Cormier could be one if he's willing to move down to 205.

I think Hendo will give jones a tough fight. Jones should win but gee people are just overlooking Hendo.

Machida vs jones 2 doesn't excite me. Not many JJ fights at LWH do ATM(because he is so good) but Machida is the only guy who has tagged Jones before getting choked the f**k out. Meh... A cormier or someone moving down would be down would be sick. Jones moving up would be fun as a fan to watch though I doubt he would be keen to do that any time soon. LWH is a good division but Jones has beaten everyone so it is rematch territory unless someone can make a run but that takes time to be a sellable fight.

Anyway war Hendo

wow... that has to be the most rose tinted version of that fight i have ever seen...

when in reality... Machida spent the first round running away from JJ and never went close to hurting him...

then once JJ got sick of trying to strike with the running man he took down and beat his ass... and then almost took his life with that choke.

the most interesting part of any JJ v Machida II fight will be to see how Joe and Dana try and build Machida up...

I had Machida giving Jones all sorts of trouble in the first fight before he got caught with a good shot that slowed him down. Got taken down and showed that his BJJ is not elite but he was out of it.

He also nearly dropped Jones in the first and had Jones struggling to impose his game.

Jones won because his lucky shot did more damage than Machida's earlier one.

Can see Machida beating Jones but Im not super excited about the fight.

sure... lets use your logic... give Machida a shot... even though he was destroyed by JJ little over 7 months ago... on the back of beating Ryan bader... :?

now son... thats what you would call full genius...

That'd be a good fight, but has Cormier ever fought at 205?

from: http://espn.go.com/mma/story/_/id/8179192/daniel-cormier-move-avoid-fighting-pal-cain-velasquez

"I'm not saying that's what I want to do (move to light heavyweight) right now," Cormier told ESPN.com. "A lot depends on what happens between Cain and (current UFC heavyweight champion) Junior dos Santos. "

Dropping to 205 pounds "is a potential plan B if Cain becomes champion again, which I think he will," Cormier said. "Imagine that: Me and Jones standing across the cage from one another. That would be crazy because you know I'm putting him on his back."

He's up for it... and to be honest... with the HW division looking tied up between Cain & Overeem... Cormier at 205 would be a great option.

wow...

Jones was lucky??

Jones decided to fight stand up in the first round... Machida spent his time running away... and then in the 2nd round JJ decided to use his wrestling... which ended the fight quickly...

Machida hasn't done nearly enough in the 7 months since he got his arse handed to him to justify another title shot.

Now see... How the f**k can you go saying this after the shit you just heaped on Machida?

Cain gets KO'd in about a minute and also gets a title fight, 1 fight removed from his loss...

Seriously...

your not gonna get an argument out of me... i agree with you... Cain hasnt done enough to earn a rematch.

but the fact remains Cain actually HAS been penciled by the UFC for the rematch with JDS.

im hoping like hell they dont make the same mistake with Machida...

Dunno how many times youve seen Machida fight, but that is what he does...evades and looks for the counter from odd angles. He wobbled Jones with a good shot too.

Jones was able to take Machida down because of a punch/elbow that had him stunned...he then took him down and Machida showed why traditional BJJ needs to evolve to the next level like 10th Planet is trying to do.

I agree that he doesnt deserve a rematch, especially for beating Bader...by that logic, Ortiz should of got a shot at Jones.

I just dont agree with you on how easily Jones had it in the first fight. He had a lot more trouble than you make out he did.

I have Cain V Overeem for the next shot at JDS.

A long shot would of been Hendo moving up and fighting JDS if he didnt have a title shot already lined up.

TBH the UFC is over stretching itself...too many events and not enough genuine contenders.

Anyone give Edgar much of a chance?

I thought Benson was always in control the first time.

Love Edgar, but can't see him winning this one.
