Anyone who claims that the GSP-Condit fight was boring needs to follow a new sport.

It was fast paced, showed remarkable skill of both fighters, bruising and bloody, and encompassed everything about MMA - striking, wrestling, BJJ, cage control..

GSP was dominating on the feet and on the ground, until he dropped his hands moving back and got caught with the head kick. Showed great heart and skill to prevent the stoppage.

Was a great fight from both GSP and Condit. Both never stopped working even when on the ground so can't see why people would think it was a lay n pray or boring fight. Was great IMO.

Looking forward to Pearson vs Sots.

Anyone know any of the events for Goldy? Really looking forward to the weekend down there. Does anyone have times for weigh ins, autographs, Q&A's, etc.

Fights start at 8am on Saturday???

No idea about other events, but the fights start at 8am in order to give it a primetime spot in the US on a Friday night.

I thought as much, thanks. I am assuming then that weigh ins would be 8am Friday, 24 hours before the fights start.

The last UFC in Sydney the fights started at about 9am but the weigh in the day before was at about 11am or Midday. Usually places like UFC fight club will have those details and you get a free ticket to the weigh-ins. Im not actually sure if you can buy tickets to weigh ins or if they are free or what the story is???

As much as I like Nick Diaz, I dont see him really troubling any of the top contenders at the moment, or Silva for that matter.

I think he would get TKO'd by Silva...Silva would just tee off on him if his plan is stand stand and bang. His hands and footwork are way too slow to trouble Silva.

GSP wrestles him into a very wide UD Loss.
Kos would do the same.
Hendricks has the ability to TKO or wrestle his way to a UD over Diaz.

Condit will fight him with the same gameplan but I think Diaz takes him to the ground and submits him if they fight again.

Im a big fan of Kampmann and would LOVE to see Diaz V Kampmann.
Diaz by TKO/Sub though.

If Lombard loses his next fight he should drop to WW and a Diaz V Lombard fight would be EPIC!

Lombard at WW??

im hearing that he's gonna move up to LHW.

The rumor doing the rounds is that there looking at making Hector Lombard V James Te Huna in Auckland and as a finale to a Australia vs NZ TUF series.

i know that Te Huna has been eyeing Lombard up since he came back to the UFC.

Could Lombard make 175 pounds??

Few x-man has been a real disappointment, he was hyped up deluxe but has been shown up pretty bad. Freakshow and Whittaker to take out each weight division in the finale IMO. Was really weird how none of the Aussie coaches got involved in training even in the lead up to the fights (unless I missed something) jus left it to the fighters to get each other ready.

There was talk that the UFC wanted him to move down to WW because they thought he was too small for MW. So not sure how that works in with hinm moving up to LHW.

Either way, he needs to win big this month.

Who does everyone have in Diaz vs Bendo?

WAR DIAZ! I know he is just a dick but I love his fights and I'd really like to see a Diaz brother with a title.

BJ/Rory should be great also. I really hope BJ pulls the W out in that one

Diaz vs Henderson should be a great match up. Diaz as a champion would be hilarious. They wouldn't be short of marketing for his fights. I think Henderson wins though. Gee he is a big lightweight and since coming to UFC, he really has stepped up. Henderson by points.

Love the card. Rua v Gustafsson and BJ v McDonald are great match ups as well. Old bull vs young bull. Big step up for Gustafsson. Be interesting to see if he lives up to the hype. They would be pushing him for a title shot with a win here and maybe one more against a contender... BJ needs a win otherwise I think it will be retirement.

Really looking forward to a lazy Sunday infront of the fights on Sunday.

Interesting to see Gustafsson is the fav against Rua. I know he has some hype and is on a roll but this is a huge card against a vet like Rua who is a huge step up for him imo.

I wouldn't mind putting a multi on Diaz, BJ and Rua. All 3 are underdogs yet have good chances.

Bendo via decision
Rory via Murder
Rua via TKO

Whittakers just decent from a sh1t bunch. His stand up is mediocre at best. His path to the final was too easy.

I actually think the pom will win. It seems he can go to war and we've seen him on the ground unlike Whittaker.

I did notice Dana gave Rob the easy fight to get him into the final as he is clearly the best Aussie fighter.

The Pom isn't special either though. He won that last fight as Ben(was it?) gassed. Hard to evaluate Whittaker on like 40 seconds though
