This weeks fight in the AUS vs UK TUF was ridiculous. I mean the the little bloke was overpowered so easily but still tried to implement a wrestling based game plan. Same sort of thing happened in the Richie Vas and Norman Parke fight, Parke was rag dolling him almost.

Also couldn't help but LOL at bringing replacement fighter in for a week then sending him home when he couldn't make weight. Should have been a wildcard fight IMO. I would have had my money on Manny Rodriguez winning the contract if he didn't get injured. Easily the best bloke on there IMO.

What's everyone's predictions on the Pearson vs Sotiropolous fight? I think Pearson in a very close fight.

Pearson by KO or lopsided decision.

Sots thinks he's a boxer these days when he really should be working on his wrestling more than anything.

I don't see how this fight we be any different from his last couple of fights.

Sots needs to get it to the ground, I think he has a definate advantage on the ground however he has struggled his last couple of fights on 2 fronts: his wrestling and his stand-up. Also considering he hasnt fought in a very long time being his last fight against Rafael Dos Anjos on the 2nd of July and was knocked out in under 60 seconds. Almost 18 months between fights because he has battled injury...thats a lot of ring rust

i actually think Sots will do the business with ease.

and this is coming from someone who has been far more impressed with Pearson this season than George.

i just think George is the naturally bigger guy with better all round skills.

G.Sot by 1st round sub.

i think one thing George has always shown is that he is big on learning from the best... im sure after the way he lost to Siver... he will have worked on his wrestling.

Dos Anjos was one of those fights IMO... he got caught. i would be really surprised if there will be much if any stand up on show.

the interesting thing ive found is how much of a douche George has really come off as... i know editing would have a big part of it... but the guy has really come off like a genius in this series.

That's true I reckon the whole team has come across that way, but mostly the coaches IMO.

Bit off topic but did anyone pickup on the Tito Ortiz lookalike who's coaching on George's team? It's a dead ringer lol.

I think Rob Whittaker will beat X.Lucas in the next welterweight fight and freakshow will fight Norman Parke in the final for the lightweights.

Pearson for the win in the finale.

Had him dominated, ha his back, body triangle and everything and still lost the round, the judges must've been watching something else
Yeah, not sure I can agree with this.

The fight was probably the worst I have ever seen, however in the third round I thought Michael Hill worked harder than Matt Secor, landed punches from a defensive position as well as a takedown reversal.

Other than a weak kick to the face all Matt did in the third round was take down and hold onto Michael for two and a half minutes. That's it. He may have had his back but he didn't do a single thing with it whilst Michael was still able to land a few punches to the face from the same position in the final few seconds.

Then again, I'm not an MMA expert in any way, shape or form. I just think if you're gonna just dry hump a dude for two and a half minutes you don't deserve to win.

I have really enjoyed the Smashes series so far. I expect the UFC to do it again but have it based in the UK.

Quality of fights haven't been too bad. Really looking forward to seeing Whittaker to fight again (even if it is against an Aussie). Last nights fight was a good scrap but I think Ben was just too gassed. Brad doesn't look like he has the technical aspects but has a big motor and big heart and that looked like the difference. Whittaker to beat X and then win the final.

Poms have cleaned up the lightweight. At first, I thought Freakshow was an absolute wanker and a gimmick. He actually comes across as a very nice guy, very well spoken and smart. Looking forward to see how he goes against Richie. Freakshow to win the contract though.

George v Pearson is shaping up as a pretty emotional fight going by what has happened in the series. Pearson to use his dirty box and size. George to use his technical boxing and submissions. Really can't pick this fight. Toss of the coin.

It isn't that bad of a card. Some solid fighters and interesting fights. Lombard v Palhares is a good match up. Money Mendes, Soszynski on the card too.

Anyone heard anything about events for the Gold Coast? Weigh in details? Q & A? Autograph signings? The usual stuff UFC does for their events.

I thought Ben was owning Brad in the stand up and was getting owned on the ground/clinch. Every time it was stood up Ben was getting the better until he would go into the clinch then get thrown onto the ground and couldn't get up. Def gassed also though

Lombard v Palhares will be awesome and I agree I hated Freakshow but he has really won me over. Such a likable guy

I f**king love Freakshow. Just like you, when I first saw him I thought "who the f**k is this wanker?" but he grew on me very, very quickly.

Such a contrast to the mohawk crybaby.

An Aussie won but got hurt so since Aus won the fight they kept the spot and the UFC said the alternate aussie had to fight x for the spot. The alternate came in on short notice and couldn't make weight so X got a pass.

So pumped for that fight. I want GSP to win so bad, would be devastated if he loses.

Although I think that's how it's going to go down, with Condit winning via TKO.

Am pumped to see GSP after 18 months or whatever it's been. I think he's gonna come out and really strike with Condit. Love Condit's Muay Thai stand up, so hoping for a striking war!

Would love to see Carlos win by KO but really have no idea how it's gonna end.
