Anyone still want to sack Flanno?

The swap the fullback mid game?

Do tell the recipe.....how to turn porridge into an all you can eat buffet breakfast.

Forwards win games so should be the try scorers?

In all seriousness though, you just said it. Forwards win games. So if you enter semis with 8-9 forwards who can go 60-70 minutes in a tough season regular game you use less bench time and have an advantage with stamina.

Flano knows we have to outmuscle teams in O & D and to do it you need big, big motors and a few very fresh at the end for extras.

I know he's doing this. I told him to

Hmm

I thought that issue was actually managed fairly well for the last eight or so games

Maybe he is the best option at halfback but he isn't for the kicks

Robson has a poor long kicking game
Bird has a poor long kicking game
Graham has a mediocre long kicking game
Ennis has a sound long kicking game
Gordon has no long kicking game

Yet somehow the team is competitive. Coach must be a genius.

The team is a kicker short. Bird is ordinary where a normal 6 would have some responsibility. Leaves Ennis and Robson. Ennis is usually at DH so his kicking options are limited. Leaves Robbo.

The other decent kicker is Humphrey who can't do the job from a wing he is shackled to nor could he do it from fullback unless he went into the frontline for the latter tackles a la an early D Lockyer.

Well yeah
But the last eight games they were counting to six
The sixth seem to come as a surprise tonight

I will say I doubt any team wants to play us. We are a bunch of hard nuts...

But I like the fluffiness......reminds me of NSW this year.....

But when the cards are raised, the top halves win...

1 out of 4 in spine is simply not enough..

Well no of course not
But the thread is about coaching and as you say he doesn't have any options in the halves
So perhaps it's fair to say he is holding his own in that context

Well yes, not chasing one and thinking he will do, does not look a premiership plan.

Again I point out...Robbo gives his all, lacks no effort or heart...just is slow and shyte kicker.

Ennis cannot be the only answer.

Hold the pil.
Take the two.
Run off Ennis.
Pass to Fifta or Valentine.

I haven't read all this thread but like all good sharks supporters I have gone from calling for Flanno's sacking to getting my fluff on in space of a couple of months.

Flanno has clearly identified our halves are shite, he has bought two new ones for next year and devised a game plan that pretty much doesn't use our halves at all.

I still question the logic of not giving someone else a go (instead of Robbo) and still question if we are any chance of keeping up with the top teams when they fire, but it looks like Flanno has us playing with a plan that is working.

We have possibly the best forward pack in the comp and one of the smartest dummy halves so we are playing to our strengths.

if we make the 8 with our roster Flange gets a pass mark from me.

May not have the cattle at half but we have had 3 years to replace Robson...
To be fair the first of those three years we were under a cloud as to wether or not we would field a team at all in 2014 - not a very attractive prospect for any good halfback to sign to
Last year he wasn't permitted to recruit and this year he has signed the best available halfback in nsw

I think flanno has many faults but some want to blame him for poltergeists, melted ice cream, the carbon tax and the global financial crisis

It's tough for sure so many of us would prefer to watch the team throwing it around and getting flogged.

Maloney going well, Chad going as well as the golden boot winner and then there is Pearce.

Warriors struggling coming out off their line.

Jono wright and fusita just don't have manus and kony's power run.
