ANZ Stadium - Never again

If the fans actually made some noise, the club wouldn't feel obliged to have to encourage them via a video screen.
It's quite embarrassing actually that fans have to be told when to be louder. FMD.

To be fair, on Monday we were so pathetic that you can't blame anyone for not being enthusiastic. The players didn't want to be there so it would be hard for fans who actually paid money to be there to get excited for the garbage the team dished up for the second year in a row.

Over 55k turned up last year and only 35k this year. Sure the weather kept some away but if fans knew the players wanted to turn up and give their all, they would bother. Seeing as though the team looked like they had each eating a million Easter eggs on Sunday and game day, why would fans bother?

I like ANZ. We parked at Lidcombe bowl and walked over, I knew from last year that the car parks would be full and then the signs and radio confirmed it.

If that were true, and I dont believe it for one second, then cancel their contract and find some one who does want to be there

Isn't it so we can get on an internet forum and bitch about players attitude, the board, the coach, the weather, the NRL, the refs, the juduciary, recruitment policies and anything else we feel like?

Both teams lacked energy. Wasn't just us.

The game was a real grind, and the atmosphere last year was electric. Perhaps that is the difference? Or maybe the squall before kickoff took the 'oomph' out of the crowd?

It was strange.

We've seen enough of those performances for me to believe anything but them not being interested.

Ahhmmmm.......to lift their team perhaps?

They really gave the crowd no cause for excitement though......even though you are right.

It's working for me right now, I'm still f**king fuming......

It was just a shit game with a shit result. Even worse for us because they scored so many tries at the end and made it look even worse than it was.

Avenger, there were notifications on Monday morning around 10am both online and on radio that Homebush parking was full already. They can't do much more than warn punters 5-6 hrs before kickoff.
Didn't listen to the radio.
There were also signs 10km away on all major roads....

I was too far committed. Like I said, it won't happen to me again.

Buy a P1 ticket at Ticketek Lv 5 Westfields in the city early in the week. Walk 100m to your seat. Easy.

Still a prick of a place.

Sounds like a dumb mistake, and an even dumber one to park at Rhodes, yet it's the stadiums fault.
lol.

There was no parking anywhere in and around the stadium. Careful when calling me dumb. It seems a little condescending. You may have me confused with someone else. I'm an angry merkin but not a dumb merkin.'

Do you understand you left wing commy, Croatian loving Yugo merkin? Now get back to your Wanderers cave you f**kwit. ↘️

Cheers Gronk. Thanks for the tip. Please tell the confused Yugoslav above that orthodox Easter is this Sunday.

Settle petal.
ANZ might have crap views from certain seats and lack atmosphere when there's small crowds there, but there's nothing wrong every other aspect of it, including access and parking.

Just a question, if you Park at Rhodes shops (the Ikea one) can't you just jump on a train to Strathfield and then another train to the Stadium for Free ?

i think there are trains straight from strathfield to olympic park during hte easter show (central-redfern-strathfield-olympic park) .... but wouldn't the train from rhodes also stop at concord west, north strathfield too? ... be a bit slow

Yes it would. I've lived the past 18 months at Concord West. It's quicker to train it to the city than to Olympic Park from there, because usually, you have to go via Lidcombe (no big deal). Wasn't aware of the direct Easter Show trains from Strathfield and stand corrected.
From Concord West, which, for 16 years is where I've always parked anyway for games at Homebush, it's a 20 minute walk or a 40 minute train trip with two connections. Seems crazy, but it's true.
