I said that. I really don't think the Warriors are going anywhere this year. They miss Monty Betham and PJ Marsh, Anderson hasn't prepared any leaders for this season. I agree he should be given the benefit of the doubt for now - which is why I said in a few months if they are still looking as disorganised as now they might have to re-evaluate at the end of the season. They are just looking like the Warriors of way back at the moment.

For the Broncos, I think Civvy has been outplaying Webcke in every game Ive seen or listened to this year. Although I think Webcke will get in ahead of Civvy on past form.

Latu is a good prospect, but hes proned to alot of handling errors at nrl level. i hardly see that changing in a pressure test match
The thing about Latu though is I don't see pressure getting to him at all, he's nothing if not confident. He does make a few mistakes still but I don't think he'd freeze under pressure if asked to make the step up (a la Hodges in SOO)

I agree Spacey, he should get the test spot. He isn't on the radar of a lot of the aussies so he might surprise them a bit. I don't think we've got anyone better anyway. I think the test is a fairly pivotal game for how the warriors are going to go this year. If the Kiwis put in a good performance I think it will really lift the warriors and give them a boost to getting their season back on track.

Why is everyone picking an injured Motu Tony in their side? It's like picking Johns for the aussie team at this stage, he won't be available.

The Kiwis last 5 wins over Australia

2003 New Zealand won 30-16 at North Harbour Stadium
1999 New Zealand won 24-22 at Ericsson Stadium
1998 New Zealand won 22-16 at North Harbour Stadium
1997 New Zealand won 30-12 at North Harbour Stadium (SL Test)
1991 New Zealand won 24-6 at Olympic Park, Melbourne

And before that in 1987

New Zealand won 13-6 in Brisbane, in a one off test match.

So if you look at the stats, New Zealand only win at least one match in a test series and havent beaten Australia twice in a row since 1959. Will that trend change next friday.

I don't think anyone has mentioned Whatuira yet.

Call me biased ( ), but I think he could be the type of player that would not let the Kiwis down. Pretty sound defensively, can be quite a handful in attack, and is now being seen as a future utility player for the Panthers - he came off the bench against the Storm, and played lock.

He's coming back from injury next week or even maybe this week
http://www.injuryupdate.com.au/injuries.php?sport=NRL

He is not in the Broncos team this week, and may be back next week. Why select someone who has played as little as he has this year? There are more form players the Kiwi's can choose.
