Exactly!

If anything, yesterday's attendances at the SFS and AAMI Park prove that.

Having stand alone rep weekends can only contribute to improve the NRL

Do they? Storm had a similar crowd last year for the same match... :-k

Storm crowd was actually down by 2K compared to last year's fixture.

The point holds firm though in regards to the Sydney clash, it was up by 6K.

You give one code exposure it comes at the expense of another.

I don't think it's wise from the administrations point of view to put up a very weak weekend of footy, in fact they were dead against this sort of thing a few years ago so I don't know who convinced them of this one. Maybe just another Gallop special.

Did you not read my post? NRL smashed AFL in the TV ratings for Friday and Sunday.

So 2k down unrelated, 6k up related?

My apologies if I sound incredulous but I think it's trying to twist one single figure to support an argument otherwise devoid of evidence.

As for the TV ratings, they could have 2 NRL games on Friday night and the Anzac test Saturday night.

The game achieved the same 1.02 million metro rating as last year so did it really make a difference? Did more people tune into the Anzac Test because it was a stand alone event? Not really...
