Are Kyle Feldt's kickoffs against the spirit of the game?

I haven't seen any NQ games this season so I haven't seen it.
Every game I have watch has had the exact same kick off on repeat. Caught by the 7 left of goal posts, offloads to fat bastard, tackled on 20m. Blah, blah, blah, bomb from half way.
Some variety sounds good.
It's not Rugby League. The tee's should be height regulated. Didn't see any of this garbage for 100 years

You really think St George are gonna let their #7 anywhere near a Kyle Feldt kick off????

I like the kick offs and having some kind of variety but I think game equipment should be uniform. You shouldn't rely on an aid that is different than the norm to produce another skill.

Bingo. Said it better than I could.
I put it in the same genre as when the grapple tackle first came in. Not against the rules but not in keeping with the fabric of the game.

I agree there should be a NRL mandated maximum height for kicking tees, but everyone is free to use the same equipment now, some just don't have the kickers capable of executing or teams are risk averse to trying.

Speaking of fabrics in the game, what's your stance on changing from pig skin to synthetic balls or from woolen to light weight jerseys?

I'm happy with both of those things. The modern ball is fantastic. The jerseys are neither here nor there, just look more professional

Given these kicks are more to do with the equipment used rather than kickers abilities I’d be happy to see the rlif, who should be in charge of rule changes, introduce a standardised kicking tee for the whole sport.

as a fan of a team who already got f**ked by these tactics, I for one hope they make the kicking tees higher so I can sit back like the cruel bastard that I am and watch other teams get f**ked in a similar way

It's a must. it's a blight on the game. Cowboys don't look like dominating a game at any stage. This lottery play is their only hope and should be banned and penalised somehow

No,

It is simply an innovation well within the rules.

Nobody is cheating.

It is like saying playing centres on opposite sides of the field is against the spirit of the game. Locks essentially playing prop.

Someone should tell Peard bombs were not the done thing in the 60's, those modern 70's fellas.

Widdop and Feldts tees look to be the same height

Bring back the sand, every ground keeper will love it.

Bring back the leather ball, lets see this young punk, make it hard the catch on a really wet day.

Bring back the corner post, these young wingers make a mockery of scoring a try in the corner.

While I am at it, bring back the lineup before the game and check the fingernails and stud condition.

Oranges at half time, not gatorade.
