Agree, However no point hitting our straps in August if mathematically we cant make the top 8 (a top 5 spot preffered) . We need to play well enough to win some games along the way, even if it means winning one half of footy real well (like today), Does that then mean we are half back now?

I thought our defence was a big part of that

moi moi smashing geddes i think, Tahu killing Burgess. In their face defence, getting there in numbers etc.... Seeing that sort of thing coming in your face helps a side drop the ball a bit more

2 points is to 2 points don't care how we get it at this stage. We want to be back at the right time of the year. We need to hit our straps when it matters most.

Next week's the test of whether we're "back" - i.e. actually a competitive footy team.

Cowboys without Thurston are there for the taking. And we've gone from 20 mins of good footy v Manly to 40 mins of good footy today.

If we can manage 60 mins next Friday, we should get another decent win under our belts.
