what part of the joint venture is putting in the most cash?

its not balmain thats for sure

& if we forever rely on Leagues Clubs .... Club will never go anywhere. Particularly given the South Western Leagues club wants nothing to do with the failurepies

Remind me how the Wasties were travelling before the JV...

Ashfield support the JV 100% & for one reason..... & it ain't the club that abandoned Ashfield's district...

Wests got a great deal until Humphreys took over and commenced to Balmainise everything.

He recognises where the vast majority of not only his clubs supporters, but looking at the junior tables, where the talented kids are coming from?

The problem is the Balmain side of the joint venture is $6 million dollars in debt with no possible way of getting out of trouble.

The Wests Group have combinex assets and wealth of over $100 million dollars.

But the constitition states they both have to contribute equally to the Joint venture. So the amounts contributed are very small because Balmain contributes money they do not have.

So in effect the Wests Tigers get very little leagues club financial support. Its almost impossible to run a NRL team with no Leagues club support.
okay, if we are going down this avenue (and this goes for everyone) you will need to provide sources for the dollar amounts and 'assumed' actions of each club if you wish to state them bluntly like this, making them appear as fact.

Site guidelines and all.

Got no source, then make it clear that you are mentioning a guess or an estimate etc.

I think the merge should be de-merged with Wests merging with Canterbury and Balmain merging with Roosters/Souths/Newtown. Parramatta and Penrith Should merge and the Sharks should merge with St George Illawarra. This will reduce it from 9 sydney teams to 5 and the NRL Comp as it currently stands from 16 down to 12. The Commission then can assess the entry bids from clubs/teams from areas such as the second brisbane team/central coast/ ipswich/perth/second nz team.

one would also have to say the titans are in a fair bit of financial trouble

You're daffy... Wests and Balmain have already done their part... Time for others to make the sacrifice for the betterment of the game.

And Wests still have no involvement in the NRL, except for the the word 'Wests' and a p*ssy little magpie on a sleeve.

Pathetic

Thanks for keeping the Tigers going

You shouldn't calculate assets in there.

If a club is 1 million dollars in the red but has a 101 million dollars worth of property, they can't just sell 10% of the building to get money back.

Cash is the figure that should be sprouted.

Yep, current assets is king. More importantly current ratio (ensuring it is well over 1 CA/CL), NTA (net Tangible Assets, ie exclude IP, trademarks etc) and WC (working capital CL-CA)

Ok, read the Balmain 2011 financial report, the Wests Ashfield on and the Wests Campbelltown one. They are all available on the internet for perusal.

If Current Assets is king, the the Wests Group are the King of Kiings and Balmain are the peasants.

When your respiratory system comes back to life after reading the Balmain financial report, get back to me on this forum.

I don't know. You'll have to ask Collingwood FC and Newcastle United.

Neither clubs fame, nor size has anything to do with Magpies FFS

They are famous because they are Newcastle & Collingwood

Their fan bases are mammoth compared to Western Suburbs.

Why include Wests Campbelltown Bug?

They are a Balmain proxy during votes ;-)

They want nothing to do with the Magpies. & you know that damn well. You lot havebeen trying to stack their board for years.

What a shock something Wests fans try to do ... Fails :)

What a shock. More fail from yourself.

You f**king illiterate spastic merkin, where did I say they werent called the Failpies?

Their fame and size has absoloutely nothing to do with the fact they have a shitty bird as a mascot.

Collingwood for instance, have made almost 1/3 of the VFL GF's. They could be the Collingwood pink poofs and still be massive in this town, not because of the fail bird on the mascot but because they are Collingwood.

You don't often hear of those gargantuan clubs being referred to as Magpies, all the same...
