Pritchard - Round 8 2013
Peni Terepo - Round 8 2013
Junior Paulo - Round 10 2013

Compare us with Penrith. They are both meant to be the strongest districts throughout the state. Can hindy111 give us a list of juniors developed and debuted by Penrith.

For me it all starts as grassroot levels. Parra can brag and gloat as much as they like, but reality is their junior Comp is a mess.

You involved with any junior club?

Well I was speaking to a staff member on the weekend and she admitted it’s a mess. She’s wanting people to email thru their complaints.

I find this staggering to believe to be honest. Do they count someone as a decoy if someone runs the ball and if they doesn't pass the ball to someone next to them they consider that a decoy?
I would go so far as to say its one of our major issues in attack ... no real bodies in motion and very predictable

I think we do run a lot of decoys.

They're just shit decoys. No pace, no intent, no hope of ever actually getting the ball.

Nope but i was speaking with someone involved with the club yesterday and they made it clear there are moves afoot to try and correct what they see as 12 years of mismanagement and inaction around our juniors and junior reps.

Haven’t we been told that Anthony Field (I think?) has been doing great work with recruitment of our junior reps and the coaches works closely with BA in terms of junior rep programs??

Is there a simple way of explaining to an outsider what the general nature of the problems is? Is it just the typical shit that accompanies 'amateur' organisations....nepotism / cronyism etc, or have we pro-actively f**ked this up somehow?

I am not the most knowledgeable poster on this topic, but how i understood it was that the reliance on 'sports' high schools needs to change and we need to find better ways to make sure our identified juniors get the right mix of schooling and sport.

I think that is just the tip tip tip of the iceberg.

Sports Schools have f**ked school rugby league too which use to be awesome (think Commonwelth Bank cup/Arrive Alive Cup/GIO Cup / whatever it is called these days). Most schools have pulled out of it because of the sports high schools
