We scored a few late tries... At no point where we ever in thst game yesterday. I am suprised guys saw those tries as a positive. I saw them as a negative tbh. As a blindfold, oh look we didnt go to bad. If only we had more ball.....
There is little real game plan and I do not see us targeting weakness of other teams. I think we can turn it around this weekend but I wont be putting my 75% on it yet.
Give people some credit FFS.

I think you can look at the positives of the back end of the game whilst still being critical of the reasons we ended up in such an untenable position.

Now go and google “unntennabull” you gibberer...

The footy club has a board and the leagues club board has nothing to do with coach recruitment. What makes you think that is relevant?

Because when the Leagues Club gets a new board, people from that board will replace Max and his mate on the Football Club Board. I'd suggest as Max chose all of the current Football Club Board members that they'd be fairly loyal to his wishes in the mean time.

We’ll lose next week and then play Canberra into form the following week. I’m not sure we will win a game before round 10.

All that article says is that "there will be less of a crossover" between the Leagues Club and Football Club boards. Wasn't previously the entire Leagues Club board also the Football Club board?

If I'm not mistaken the Leagues Club still had two people on the Football Club board. Isn't that what Max and his mate are? If not, why is Max on the board of the Football Club still if no one from the Leagues Club will be on the board? He's not an Administrator of the Football Club. Did he advertise positions and appoint himself? I doubt it.

Yes, there will remain 2 PLC directors on the PNRL board - even after Max and Jim depart back to Ferriers world.

From the outside looking in, I can understand your thoughts that the PNRL Board would be 'controlled' by Max and Jim (i.e. the PLC) and that this would transfer when the PLC Board is put in place, however personally, I don't think that the PLC Board will be put in place this calendar year and I don't think that Max will remain Chairman of the PNRL Board for much longer. I also do not think Max asserts as much control over individual members of the PNRL Board as you give credit for. He does of course hold the purse strings as to how much $ the PNRL gets from the PLC.

EDIT: Max was part of the process of selection for the current PNRL Board - he did not pick them on his own.

I cannot believe the amount of people not naming Peni in their top 17! He ran himself ragged last night and at least worked his ass off. Personally I would have him starting.

The other one for me is Avaaaaaa. He also hasd a proper f**king go!!! He has my vote for centre and in my team he has a lock on it compared to some f**king pretenders that don't want to do the hard work.

I though Hoffman was excellent yesterday and on the sets we werer going forward it was because Avauuuuuuu/Hoffman/ and Jennings boys ripped in.

Give me a team of blokes who want to work hard for each other any day.

Also, Mau hit hard and tried hard yesterday. Evans should be coming back through Wenty. I think we are really suffering without a classy #9 and a prop.

This on top of the 6 and 7 for us have been terribly disappointing. Their last tackle options, running across field and predictable passing has been a real disappointment.

Seriously though, people calling for blood of the blokes having a proper go are dead set muppets.

Twice Hoffman made a great hit-up then then instead of taking it to our halves Auva'a takes another dummy half run...

Auva'a Is slow as shit and cant defend... Hoffman is the same in defence..

1. French
2. Jennings
3. Jennings
4. KA
5. Davis (Hoffman isn't making enough metres)
6. Norman (needs to lift)
7. Moses
8. Mannah
9. Pritchard
10. Evans
11. Moeroa
12. Scott (should still be able to play on the edge, we need his leadership/mongrel to start with)
13. Brown

14. Peni / Smith
15. Williams
16. Alvaro
17. Edwards

Niukore/Gower just missing out.
Sorry Scott provides nothing so replace him with Niukore. Not sure about Auva'a either, didn't perform that well in defence yesterday (but who did) and is carrying an injury. Maybe Smith to centre?

No finals he should be sacked. And the next coach gets 2yrs. If he shows nothing he goes also.
BA gets this year for me. I am not seeing any improvement in the team as season goes on.
I kinda agree with you Hindy as BA has assembled this squad but Bazal also makes sense (did I just say an oxymoron?). I'd give BA 2019 to right the ship otherwise out the door.

Agreed. But we have attacking forwards in the team able to do this, and when we have the ball they do.
Which forwards are these Pou? Surely you can't say Mannah who threw a pass today for the first time since 2016 against St George which led to a try. Which forward of Mannah, Alvaro and Moeroa is creative? When was the last time Ma'u made a break or threw a pass, he has gone backwards faster than he goes forward nowdays.

Btw wasn't it good to have a big creative forward (Williams) run the ball hard, draw in the defenders and easily pass to a support player in space. You know that area between the defenders. How refreshing is that Pou and Bazal in particular. Still a long season to go but hopefully Williams will become the fat forward I have yearned for in years for our pack. Fill the pack with William-esq players for mine.

So was Auva'a so what choice do we have?

Yeah KA wasn't the best yesterday, but he was playing injured too. He had strapping over his stomach / ribs going into the game then got a heavy knock in the first half near our tryline which caused the trainer to spend some time with him and add more strapping.

He appeared restricted at times with his running.

I suspect he probably should have come off.

That definitely would be a sure way to lose a few more games.....FFS he only made 6 tackles!!

But yes T-Rex did have a good game and added some variety to our attack. If Evans plays himself into some form, our pack would have a good combination of size/skill/attacking ability.

Pou we saw our 2nd rower like T rex get early ball when chasing points and game beyond us. Prior it was one up garbage.
Other teams are getting 40/20s and forcing line drop outs. Along with penalties and errors we are not helping I agree but why aren't our halves making these plays?
At times it is poor positional play by our fullbacks or defense for giving them time and space to execute.

3 games in a row we have had 40% or less possesion. Poor footy teams make errors, it isnt unlucky ones. Guys like W.Smith who we where forced to use st fullback is a great attacking player. He never has been good under high ball and why cut from previous club. BA had the right idea for him at hooker. He may also work in the halves, granted he is only 3rd or 4th choice fullback but he cost us big time yesterday.
40% possession is not the fault of the refs but the team and we have had that in all our games so far. Yesterday we were standing over 1 metre ahead of the refs who let it go for a few tackles before blowing a penalty. Why is this when other teams can get back? Lack of fitness, poor attitude or something more sinister that we don't know about? Also the Tigers were punching holes in our defence all match except for the last 20 mins. Did they drop off or did the injection of Williams change the match? What we want now is for the last 20 mins to last 80.
