Broncos can thank Greeny and Gags for their first try
Hate to deflect credit from the Knights but I think the play is pretty much identical to a set play Souths would run with Reyno or Murray as the ball player with Cody bursting onto the ball.

Fogarty deniers deservedly looking very smug right now. He had a good game until crunch time arrived and then he fell to bits.

The Warriors loss for us was bad but the Raiders one is definitely more heart breaking. Must suck to be them tonight.

Broncos used to run a similar play with Milford and Oates.
Today they went after the disconnect between Timoko and his half just like Newcastle did

He deserves a lot of credit for our finals win in 2023 too. Feel like I remember some poor poor kick errors in crunch time.

And yeah the Broncos comeback was heavily due to them picking on him in the D line. And for all the raving about his incredible huge kicks... gee he gives away a few 7 tackle sets. And the best kicker in that game ended up being Walsh, in terms of momentum-turning kicks.

Power is important, accuracy is king.

Rooster suspend early for 10 weeks without pay…approx $150k

rooster are now seeking salary cap exceptions so they can use that 150 to front load someone else’s contract

Classic nrl and their “fair” salary cap

When did Gold Coast ever reach a prelim? I can barely even recall them making the Finals...

Raiders have always been a victim of their own belieiving that just cos it worked in regular season, it will do the same in the finals. The clubs that win finals games always show something they never showed in the regular season. Nuanced maybe, but the powder is always kept dry, The Sharks are moving the ball with purpose and Nicho is the link man. He is allowing his involvement to become a natural component of their game rather than being the central focus. Storm will need to be huge to beat them. AFB and Ronaldo are their respective forward and back leaders and both are on fire right now.

I thought Nicho had a poor game in week 1 and they ended up bullying the Roosters in the back end of the game anyway, in a weird way I think that gave him confidence.

I also have always thought Nicho is a class five-eighth being shoehorned into the 7 role and Tricky is a really good 7. Had the exact same read as you on his game against the Raiders, he let things flow a lot more rather than forcing it and he really can throw some very nice selective passes in shape, that’s his elite skill. For a while he and Tricky were an awkward fit but they’re gelling real well now, shows the value of patience.

Exactly right on the Raiders, for all the chat about their classier attack they still kind of look to me like a team where most of the points come from massively dominating the point of contact. And they couldn’t bully the big Sharks forwards.
