Our defence hasn’t been the problem per se

we just make so many errors in attack that we are defending so much and fatigue sets in

if we just hold onto the friggin ball, they won’t be as gassed and the points agasint should drop a fair bit

Our defence has been fine.

Our problem is that our “attack” and recurrent errors keep putting us on the back foot.

Obviously more time having to defend our line means more tries conceded. To be honest I think other than the Dogs I’d say we’ve shown a lot more in defence than most teams, but it’s not going to mean anything if we can’t score points or hold the ball.

I'd argue this has been our best defence of the last 10 years - and that's with the added pressure of a shit attack and being first in errors.

We get those other things clicking then we very well could have conceded half the points we have so far.

It all comes back to dropping less ball. Pretty simple.

I don’t even care if the attack takes a little while to click as long as we are giving ourselves a chance in games by controlling the ball and controlling the game. At the moment we’re doing neither and we’re digging ourselves a hole.

What's everyone's opinion of Dan Saifiti so far? I know he was bit of a meme here but the general concensus is that he has been great for the Phins this season.

Dans problem wasn't that he was a terrible player. Never was. It was that he was considerably overpaid. Still has a drop ball and silly moment in him though.

Our biggest problem with recruitment lately seems to be that we're very keen to offload the overpaid players (good) but seem quite hopeless at having an able replacement lined up before offloading (bad). Our pack is very under strength this year, and a good part of it is because we didn't replace Dan. We just marched on and expected a bunch of kids to fill the gap.

Dom is clearly not happy at the Roosters. He lacks the swagger he had here. I believe he’d return tomorrow if a deal could be struck. It won’t be.
