Ash will be back in 2005

Ash has been poor this year. I really hope he gets back to his best because he was coming along nicely last season. Confidence is the main thing he needs I reckon. He also cannot be expected to do much sitting on the wing all year, though he really hasn't earned himself a spot anywhere else. Wade has the fullback spot sewn up in my mind. Ash should start in the centres in premier league and if his form warrants he'll get back into the first grade side. Injuries will happen next year, a fast attacking Ash Graham will come in handy when they do.

If Ash can regain his 2003 form, he'd certainly challenge for that No. 1 jumper. I reackon on the basis of Ash - 2003 vs Wade - 2004, Ash is the better attacking player while Wade is the better defender. As far as being safe at the back and cleaning up goes, I reackon they are pretty much on par with each other.

Good news that he's a chance of an improved recovery. On this year's form, he shouldn't be a first grade starter.

But Smith (and Ash) persisted because there were really no other wingers for the back half of the season - with Grothe injured, Burt being played in the centres, Anderson had a taste more as a reward for his potential, Kativerata?, Gruska might be getting let go.

If Ash regains his 2003 speed, confidence and form, then he might be the answer to that gap at centre next year?

I've said it once and i'll say it again, Graham is a brillant ball player who should be either in the centres or 5/8, his ball skills & passing game are impecible and he has great vision.

He is a great talent, people are very critical, his injury he sustained against the Broncos was one of the worst i'd seen ( seen a few aswell), it was a miracle he even made a return this year.

Well said porn star!
Ash has the best passing action I have seen since Ricky Stuart and maybe even better. Would love to see him at 5/8 in the future slotting our outside backs through holes, however I will admit his defence needs to improve to play there before I can see a move. His passing ability is wasted on the wing  !!

I actually think Tahu will play in 4. O'Dwyer, Smith, Graham, Davis, Burt..... the options are pleasing

Tahu much prefers to play on the right side of the field, so I think he'll be 3.

Freak I agree he will be back and that's great news.
I have never bagged him and never will. There have been a hell of a lot of you bagging him and at least 2 or 3 supporting him. He has been down on confidence for most of this season and he was trying his damn well hardest thats for sure.

he just drops the ball cold time and time again

that was just a confidence thing

His off-season last yr consisted mostly of him with a cast on his leg staying on crutches. This yr he should have a full offseason and will be different next season. He should regain the form of 2003 and should do even better!!!
Most people say this and I agree that he is no winger and should either be centre of fullback (or 5/8 as some people suggest)

I think he will compete for the centre positon next year, He has lost his speed but is still a good hole runner. He wont be our back with Mckinnon there. And with Peterson, Burt and Grothe our main wingers he wont get a spot there.
