I would happily make the 2021/22 Ashes null and void as long as England are prepared to do the same for the 2019 ODI World Cup.

Its one of the only grounds I haven't watched cricket at yet. Next summer might be the year.

My mates in Perth reckon the WACA was better.

But it's probably like comparing Penrith/Brookie/Leichhardt to Allianz.

Those grounds you have the atmosphere, hill but outdated. But the tribalism and fun you have.

The WACA you also got the breeze coming in from the Fremantle Doctor.

But was probably outdated.

They said Optus is basically like Allianz new modern football stadium with more corporates but a concrete bowl. With no breeze coming in on a hot day.

Yeah like old Adelaide I love the hill and all that. We've lost a bit of that but its 2024 now.

Just speculation 12 months out, comparing batting orders, although a fair bit will change.

Crawley v McSweeney. A draw although McSweeney could pick up some points (or be dropped). Crawley is bloody horrible on every level.

Horrible little ork v Khawaja. At his best Khawaja, although age might have caught up with him. Draw.

Labuschagne v Pope. Pope dropped to 6 as keeper v the kiwis so it's not a given he will bat 3. Labs has him covered although he is in horrid form.

Smith v Root. Tough one. Smith made a comeback century but Root has been consistently good for a long time. He may melt in the Aussie sun like last time. Draw.

Head v Brook. Head is our form bat. Brook at his best shades Head I think although he hasn't toured India or Australia. Draw

Stokes v Marsh. Both average about the same but Stokes has always scored runs when needed. Stokes by a bison's dick.
