I think we should join CONCACAF.

It'd be really easy to qualify, three and a half spots and only playing rubbish sides like Jamaica and Mexico

mate australia would have a tougher time qualifying through concacaf than through asia, the central american teams when in form are hard to beat & if you have been following the concacaf qualifyer games the gap is closing between the big 3 mexico, u.s.a, costa rica & el salvador, honduras, guatemala & panama

CONCACAF is weak, but Mexico is anything but. I don't know what the f**k you're smoking. Also, Costa Rica and T&T are no pushovers. Guatemala and Honduras make a game of it and most others range for suck to supersuck.

Those sides are on par with the second tier nation in Asia. T&T snuck past Bahrain to qualify for the world cup. Costa Rica are that good they pick players from Melbourne.

We have seen Bahrain and they are average.

Australia would, IMO push Mexico to be the top side in that confederation. As would Japan.

I would much prefer Australia to qualify through concacaf. The UNited States and Mexico will never miss a world cup under the current format.

they had a draw with italy if memory serves me correct because i remember italy having a slow start and then we all know what eventuated ... i know serbia didn't get a point at all and neither did costa rica not sure if anyone else failed ...

Ha, I'm not defending my own country. Our Nats manage to choke all the time. Our league fields some great starting XIs but can't reach into their pockets for any depth. Poke fun at the US all you want. I was arguing for Mexico--our death-flopping, ref-blaming, urine-bag-throwing rivals. Nevertheless, they are good.
