I couldn't be single. I need interaction with people too much.

Plus I would struggle with promiscuity if I was single too long. As much as marriage and kids dampen it, the vow of fidelity makes it easier to have a cold shower and get over it. Being single was far less easy to stop the urge.

I can't decide which I prefer. I like the freedom to do whatever I want whenever I want, but I can't deny the appeal of having somebody to curl up in bed with, go out to new restaurants with, and generally just spend time with.

Beeker can only fulfill the second two, and he's not quite as attractive as a female human.
