Andrew Duneman will be named as an assiatant to Matt Elliott. He did well with the Raiders NYC.

Blake Asyford is on the verge of signing. He wants to stay with the Tigers but the Tigers are after a more experiece player. They (being the tigers) are making a big play for Folau and also ongoing negotations with Michael Jennings.

Trent Hodgkinson is also on his way to the Warriors. Will be very surprised if this is not announced before the end of the Weekend.

If I get anymore good oil I will post

Good Day

If true I'd be pretty happy.

The club named a bunch of conditioning coaches today i.e. Dayne Norton, Rubes Wiki, Carl Jenning etc.

Just one more Ass. coach spot to go if the above post proves to be correct.

Hodgkinson and Ashyford would be huge signings and would finally stop the doom and gloom.

I'm not the one who is predicting us for the spoon and going on like Matthew Eliott is the worst coach in the game.

Or that we could be kicked out of the NRL in a couple of years...

Don't really see the point in signing Trent. The vulcans are going to have a pretty awesome team next year

 this is true actually. Perhaps I should pick on someone else!

My thoughts:
Our recruitment has been logical. We've picked up suitable players to address areas of weakness while not purchasing any out and out stars.

The coach signing is equal to or better than the other non-marquee options available. I have no reason to think Elliot will do any worse than Iro, McClennan, Smith, Anderson etc may have.

If the POTENTIAL assistant coach and player recruitment options mentioned above pan out, then we will have exceeded my expectations in cleaning the team up after a shit year.

Right now, with an experienced coach, better off-field facilities, less in-fighting and a foursome of defensive machines including one who solves the Maloney issue, I expect us to be back in the 8.

Well it's believable that we are -chasing- all of them, and of course the club will be aware the likelihood of actually signing them all is somewhere between zero and nothing haha.

My bet:
We get one of the four. Probably Hodgekinson.

YOu miss understood. The Tigers are chasing Folou and Jennings and if they get either of them Ashyford will definately be a warrior. At the moment he is a 70% chance of being a warrior

Saying you did well with the Raiders NYC is like saying you did well with the warriors NYC
Dave Hamilton is the one pulling the string at canberra juniors anyway.

I though Mcfadden was a sure thing
But then again dunemann probably played under ellliot too.

I do hope we are chasing Folau and Jennings though...

What I heard was two assistants, one is apparently already at the club, the other is at an Australian club. I'm picking McFadden and Seuseu.

I heard on the radio we also have an MMA trainer on board but cannot see anything online source wise?

http://www.warriors.co.nz/news-display/Vodafone-Warriors-confirm-training-staff/65605

As well as being sports science manager, Australian-born Morris ? who has a master of exercise science degree ? will add value as a wrestling coach, drawing on his experience as an amateur and professional fighter.
Morris (34) is an MMA (mixed martial arts) specialist and has also fought in the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) in North America.
He has been involved in the NRL the last three seasons, working with Elliott and Jennings as Penrith?s wrestling coach in 2010 and 2011 before moving to the Sydney Roosters this year as their performance coach (strength and power).
?Brad will specialise in the research and application of the latest, best-practice training and recovery methods,? said Elliott.
?He?ll also ensure we?re abreast of all the latest international trends in the sports science field.?

UFC fighter that's also our sports science guy. Seems like he'll be doing a bit of wrestling as well?

The Ruben one had me scratching my head a bit, although in fairness, if he was part time its probably hard to really evaluate him fully. The others though in the conditioning department... sounds impressive. The sheer fact that there's a significant number of them IMHO is good and should bring professionalism into the pre season preparation and in-season recoveries.

Yeah, but wasn't Ruben also involved with strength and conditioning in 2011 as well?

Really excited at the mentions of the sports science stuff, the GPS tracking and whatnot. It's about time we caught up to the top clubs in this regard. Still a long way to go, but it sounds like there are at least two guys in sports sciences at the club now, which is great.

Yeah but in all fairness ....as a fan you have no real guage on how effective he was last year...

All he did was jump in on a few sessions - some of those probably wreslting.
He was never the defense coach...which was often bandied around

But I agree with having such a team.

Jennings is considered a bit of a guru himself .... Wiki will just push the boys under guidance from jennings
Wiki is pretty much already and understudy of jennings prior.

google carl jennings website - he has a whole section about Ruben
so he really rates ruben.

Regardless.. having jennings and wiki then through in the MMA guy
There will be boys crying...but in the end they will all be stronger both mentally and physical.
