I would suggest that there is not enough talent scouts at the junior level that are engaged by the club and as such they do not get around no where near as much as other clubs. Some clubs have quite a number of talent scouts.

I could cop that if we didn't have the scouting resources to see this guy play but he actually trialled for us.

perhaps they think that he will be one of those young players who have all the ability and potential in the world, but piss it away with a bad attitude
or maybe we need new recruitment managers....
who knows

We've gambled on many full grown men who have the mental capacity of a 12 year old, yet we weren't prepared to give the most naturally gifted player in his age group a spot in a Harold mats teams a shot when 90% of mats players don't have the natural ability to ever make first grade. I'd suggest we need better recruitment/junior coaches
