Stop being so shrill. So you're not a Kiwi fan if you're not so close to the team that you know exactly why the Tongans left. Bahahahaha.
I feared the Tongans were leaving before they left. I posted it on the NZ board of this forum and my suspicions were later confirmed.

Youve never made a bold prediction like that ever but now you talk like you know BUAHAHA you got nothing.

* On being made to sleep on marae floors you sound like you're trying to make it sound like they'd be on the actual floor and not on mattresses. Furthermore if JT, Fusitua and SST quit the Kiwis at the prospect of sleeping on a marae than they need to hand in their man cards.
Thats just an example that you asked for and what was a focal point in the media. Mattresses isn't much better. I never said they quit cos of mattresses. That came later. They saw crap and they avoided it.

There was discussion around about the Tongans defecting outside of this Board, it wasn't like it was a state secret.

Funnily enough that squad you mention in the link included Fusitua and Kata (who aside from being poop isn't even a NZer). Non Maori who would have been definite selections but weren't available were Mutts, Foran and RTS. Why do you give Kearney a pass above for selecting Maori players as they're the best available, but Kidwell doesn't get the same allowance?

Why are you believing everything that was in the media? Seriously if the Maori-fication was the reason then why didn't all the Samoans defect as well?

How come you never mentioned the Tongan exodus then? I mentioned it BEFORE it happened and now you, who never had anything to say about it back then, come on here like you know it all.

I expressed on this board my fears about Taumalolo leaving because of what we were hearing and I also feared that it could influence others to follow suit. A few days later the rest of the Tongans left. I also mentioned the implications it may have for the future. I said my piece ages ago whilst there was plenty of sources to support what I was saying.

You're missing the point, Kidwells selection of 16 Maori players is a fair example of Kidwell maorifying the team. You asked for evidence and I provided it. It's the marae as well and rumours within the camp that the players weren't happy with some selections. Thats the reason for the defections I saw coming.
Seriously if the Maori-fication was the reason then why didn't all the Samoans defect as well?
Maorification is ONE of the PROVEN reasons as to why our team wasn't prepared properly. To focus on Maori only and forget about our Tongan and Samoan brothers is not the true NZ way. Maoridom is given their respect through the haka.

I answered almost all of your questions and I know you didnt answer my one nor will I get a thank you but hey thats the difference between me and you. I understand shit.

Tongans, Samoans, Rarotongans, Niuans, Fijians have participated to make the game better on and off the field. That is how much they've given to league in NZ. Its not just the Taumalolos, Fusituas, Vatuveis, their participation goes far deeper. Because they've given so much to us, I'm not so greedy and so selfish not to let them have a good team as well. Are you?

Just because we gave them the resources, it doesnt mean they owe us 50 years of their everything because in actual fact we use them more than they use us.

You’ve lost me

These people are all New Zealanders, why are you talking about them as if they are outsiders giving us something?

These people are New Zealanders from New Zealand

You can be a New Zealander of pacific island decent.

I was saying the truth. The truth is - in NZ that are a lot of pacific island ethnicities who participate in NZ league in one form or the other. They could be playing for the kiwis or filling up the water bottles for junior grades. They are not Korean, they are not Mauritian, many don't care about league in NZ but you know who does? Pacific islanders and HEAPS of them. Without their participants, we would suck, so I show gratitude. Im not ungrateful like some...

Show our pacific island brothers some respect.

So you just completely ignored the question

If someone spends their entire life in NZ, where are they from?

Then why are they all dressed in red waving tongan flags in mangere and cheering beating NZ? Because reality is they identify as tongan first and kiwi second (if at all). They played for NZ to get paid. The reason the team is so heavily Maori is because they are the ones putting their hands up to wear the black jersey. Salute to Manu Vatuvei and all tongan players that played in the black jersey but the red giant has awoken we pretty much have lost a generation of tongan kiwis to tonga rl. If Samoan kiwis elect to do the same in the future coild be worse. We really need to lobby the nrl to open up origin to kiwis if rules had of been differrnt kalyn ponga would be turning out for qld and NZ.

Because I barely spent any time on here.

No it's not. Kidwell selected a team of what he considered the best players it just happens that 16 of them were Maori. I've already mentioned to you that there were clear reasons that non Maori players weren't selected (injury, unavailable). That team selection is not evidence of anything.

I answered almost all of your questions and I know you didnt answer my one nor will I get a thank you but hey thats the difference between me and you. I understand shit.
What question did you ask, and seriously why would you expect a thank you? You're carrying on like a chook.

I was just saying that THAT was an example of what the players within his camp didn't like. That was just an example of maorifying the team and you could understand how they players could've felt a little dejected about where things were headed. They felt mistreated and they made the right choice to leave. Do you now get it? or do you think there was NO reason for the Tongans leaving. Remember I predicted the Tongans leaving way back before they did but YOU all of a sudden have the answers now? dont know shit.
What question did you ask, and seriously why would you expect a thank you? You're carrying on like a chook.
Because I answered yours. I was good enough to answer yours but you? you can't even answer mine. You are carrying on like an ungrateful racist towards our pacific island brothers. Respect what they've done for the game.

No it's not, it's just a selection of the best available players, full stop. So are you saying the three Tongans didn't like Kidwell selecting the best players.

Because I answered yours. I was good enough to answer yours but you? you can't even answer mine.
I don't know what your actual question is, all you do is repeat stuff and hurl abuse.

You are carrying on like an ungrateful racist towards our pacific island brothers. Respect what they've done for the game.
I'm a PI myself you dipshit.

No thats what you're saying. Kidwell constantly selecting DWZ over an in form Fusitua, how do you defend Kidwell on that? Its clear you are a Kidwell supporter.
I don't know what your actual question is, all you do is repeat stuff and hurl abuse..
How come I know what your questions are, and thats clear because I answer them, but you don't know my only question I asked you way back?

What abuse? the first abusive thing in our posts was calling someone a 'chook'. Oh who said that lol. Go check the posts, read 'em and weep. Calling you a racist after how youre coming across towards the PI is not abuse, its warranted.
I'm a PI myself you dipshit.
Oh hurling abuse aye lol. No you're clearly not a P.I otherwise you'd understand where the Tongans are coming from and you would understand what the P.Is do for league in this country. You have not acknowledged any of that.

Who knows?

Got the impression that Fox Sports are done for the year. Might see if Vossy knows anything?

Sums up one of the biggest failures of rugby league. Here we have some awesome test matches coming up, something which our direct competitor has no way of competing with. So what do we do? We totally ignore them and if anything talk them down. The only reason I’ve seen anything of these matches on TV is because of the Inglis saga.

Then we wonder why international league has dropped from being bigger than SOO to what it is now.

Kidwell didn't consistently select DWZ over Fusitua. He only selected him twice before Fusitua defected to Tonga. I haven't ever been a Kidwell supporter but you apparently like to make things up so you may as well run with that one as well. We all know Kidwell was a shitty selector - hell, Kata got multiple test caps from him.

How come I know what your questions are, and that's clear because I answer them, but you don't know my only question I asked you way back?
.
Clearly I don't know what your question is, why don't you repeat it and I'll answer it.

Explain to me exactly how I'm racist? Because I don't think Kidwell favoured Maori players in his selection? Because I don't think Maori-fication is the main reason the three Tongan's defected?

Oh hurling abuse aye lol. No you're clearly not a P.I otherwise you'd understand where the Tongans are coming from and you would understand what the P.Is do for league in this country. You have not acknowledged any of that.
Seriously? Hmm, I've always been pretty sure I'm male, but do you want to tell me I'm not that too?

The Australia v New Zealand game should start to see some more traction in sales now that the teams have been named and the Tonga match only has 'Eastern Lounge' tickets left.

We know back on September 22, the NZRL had announced that 9,000 tickets had been sold to the match, and now we either have limited to no-tickets between Bays 28 - 32 and 12 - 15 in the Lower Stands and Bays 39 & 5 in the Upper Stands. Bay 22 is also selling well at the end of the ground.

All in all, I feel like we've cracked the 10K mark, and should be on track for 18K+ which will look alright. Naturally would love to see a sellout, but the NZRL aren't renowned for their ability to market events, and the Kiwi brand isn't in the best state.
