McSharkie, what was Lee doing when the two sides played against each other in the VB series while Bond took out the bowler of the series award? Where was Lee in the World Cup when Bond took 6/28 against Australia?

Lee was taking 5/42 in the same game. :)

pfft a 5 for, thats nothing ;-) . Still Bonds figures that day are the best in New Zealands ODI history and to put it into perspective, not even Wasim Akram with 500 ODI wickets behind him managed to take 6 wickets in an ODI.

Maybe so, but Australia ended up winning that game very easily.

That's irrelevant to this debate. No Kiwis denying that Australia is the best in the world.

Ended up is the right word, because you were in a whole heap of sh!t. As always, Bevan and bit of tin got you through.

Lets have a look here.

Lees wickets in that WC game:

Fleming
McCullum
Oram
Adams
Bond

Bond:

Gilchrist
Hayden
Ponting
Martyn
Hogg
Harvey

Theres a difference between cleaning out the tail and nailing the top order.

Also, Lee went for 42 from 9.1 overs. Bond went for 23 off 10. Given this is their most recent comparison, who would you say is the better player?

Is that Tests or ODIs? Swap Hayden and Fleming around. Also you have no'keeper and ten men.

No way that
Marshall
McCulum
Harris
would make it maybe McCullum in a couple of years but not now, Harris cant even make the Kiwi team, Marshall no.

Two Aussies in a combined team and no Gilly.

You're a Kiwi, right.

Australia won though by about 100 runs. Very conclusive. :)

Macgill is a joke compared to Vettori. Vettori was one of the youngest ever players to take 100 wickets and is rated as the best left arm spinner in the world
well gees who else is there really? Murali Kartik?

while Macgill has spent his whole career in the shadows of Warne
well when you got the best leg spinner ever in front of you its not that easy, especially when Australia are reluctant to play the two of them.

Vettori's bowling average leaves alot to be desired, mid to high 30's is not very good for any world class bowler, and if Vettori is so good why does he average less than a wicket a game at ODI level?

Bond eats Lee for breakfast in every category. Bowling, batting (Bonds the best #11 in the world by a very long way), Fielding, attitude, intelligence, and as a man.

Bowling-no arguments there

batting-its quite irrelevent that Bonbd is the best number 11 batsman in the world because Lee isn't a number 11 batsman to begin with, and its not like there is a class field of number 11 batsman, for starters Bond's test average is 10 and a highest score of 31, Lee averages almost 20 and has scored 2 half centuries at test level, and a half century at one day level.

Fielding-I take it you didn't see Lee's catch at the SCG

attitude-I take it you've played with both of them

intelligence-I take it you've given both of them the same IQ test and Bond scored higher :?:

As a man-So you've tested out Bonds manhood too? ;-)

well on that note Katich has a test batting average of 65 at the moment and a test bowling average of 27, so does that make him the greatest all rounder in history?
