I think had the Kangaroos had a hit out last week against say Tonga, they would've been a more cohesive unit tonight and with all respect to our boys massive effort tonight on defence, we would have got thrashed had the Roos had a game together last week.

So yeah, gel, I know they've played together for awhile now but it's the first time this year and straight away they gotta get everything bang on against the Kiwis.

Biased Aus ref
Biased Aus bunker ref
Biased Aus linesmen
Game held in country bumpkin Aus city where no kiwis would dare live.
Aus picking any ring-in playing for $ they can get, and cheapening their own jersey.

That was a deck stacked by the ARLC to try and get Aus back to the top. But unfortunately for them, they looked old, washed-up and they've just created a false dawn for themselves. They can have their lil deck stacked victory. I'm very confident they won't be winning the 4 Nations this year. England will be our biggest test. We just need to get 3-4 players back, and Kearney needs to stop being a fool and trying to play forwards at hooker (K. Brom ugh) and centre.

That 3/4 line should've been reconfigured to include Rapana and not Tohu.

Lol, need to gel? The core of this side has been playing together for 5 years + in both Australian and Queensland camps. They're just old and not as good anymore.

Will be seen as trolling but looking ahead for the next 2 years I would honestly be more worried about England at tournaments than Australia (if we are anywhere near close to full strength) if they continue with this side.

Its funny cause NZ is often troubled and beaten by a weak England side.

Yep we don't play as well against England, and England are slowly putting together a pretty good side.

The Four Nations and World Cup being in Austraia and New Zealand helps us big time though. I think we're the better side when we play them at 'home' and up there they go well against us.

Why can't rugby league sort between themselves to get a neutral ref? Should have been a Pom tonight. It was the same last year in the England vs NZ series should have been a Aussie.
I'm not saying the ref showed any bias but the game should be more professional so as not to create such a stupid situation.
I think Mal needs to be a bit braver with his selections this Autumn, with this side being another 12+ months older at the World Cup I woudnt bet a lot of money on Australia even being in the final. Blood some young players in the 4 nations and give it a good crack.

Agreed. If an Aussie ref is in charge of an Aussie game and they lose, he has to live amongst the heat.

Kenny Bromwich at hooker was up there with the best lols I've had this week. This Australian side is labouring on. Cameron Smith is a legend but he is offering less and less on attack each year. The 4N is when Australia could come unstuck this year. Gus can smell the coffee. We've been talking about this ageing Aussie side for the last couple of years.

Is Cam Smith the only one you'd rid? I'd take Cronk out too and bring in Milf. They need a running half like Morgan but Morgan went ok at 13 so Milf in. I'll bring in TedEsco at fullback and Oates for Semi. Yous don't really need Semi.

Mal generally picks and sticks with players but judging by his reactions tonight I'd say some will be punted.
Dugan was rubbish, he made a few mistakes that could have been costly tonight.
I think you'd move Boyd to that wing but fullback is a ?

Forwards Papali and Gillett were average, so swap them out for someone else.
Parker's form has been on and off, Thaiday has been off too but these guys usually come through.
Let's remember a lot of these forwards are in top teams so they are obviously doing something right.

Apart from that I don't see much change.

My 2016 Kangaroos
1. James Tedesco (tricky to contain)
2. Semi Radradra
3. Greg Inglis
4. Blake Ferguson (he's been centre playing at Roosters)
5. Corey Oates (edges out Dugan cos don't want players outta position and Oates is in good form)
6. Michael Morgan
7. Johnathan Thurston
8. Matt Scott
9. Josh Hodgson (bright spark outta the ruck)
10. David Shillington
11. Paul Gallen (He's versatile and similar to Papalii only Paul always delivers the go forward and my captain)
12. Gavin Cooper (one of the reasons behind Cowboys success)
13. Corey Parker
Interchange:
14. Dylan Napa (mongrel/enforcer off the bench)
15. Anthony Milford (impact)
16. James Tamou
17. Luke Lewis (versatility and impact)

Had to laugh when Gould asked the other commentators if they too thought Australia were far from impressive. The silence was deafening. Methodical but certainly not inspirational is how I'd describe Australia's performance.

Would the Kiwis be allowed a hit out too or do they have to go in cold?
