Only because their A players see the sleeping giant that is the Australia ODI team waking up and they hid when it came time for selections. Didn't want to be embarrassed, understandable really.
Their Z players would have hidden too if Wadey was in the squad.

It's clear now we've only been pretending to be bad this last 3 years to generate interest in the WC.

Be tough for one or both Warner or Smith to make the squad if we keep winning and rightly so , our batting all of a sudden has clicked. Felt it a bit weird they were told to play in the IPL instead of a couple of games here when their ban expired

With Stoinis not bowling much and when he does bowl he is bowling pies, not sure we have room for him in the squad let alone the side

I could see Smith being left out, but if Warner fires in the IPL, we'd be insane not to have him in the squad.
I'm still not trusting finch, sure he's a lock, but if it's a do or die match and Finch isn't scoring runs, we gotta go with the hot hand.
Gotta think there's a place for an in form Warner in the team.

Can’t ignore all the loses after just a few wins. It’d be a huge mistake to leave them out.

but if we tank Pakistan 4-1 or 5-0 here, then it will be hard to justify who to drop. Stoinis seems the obvious one to piss off at this stage but unlikely JL will drop him cause "the balance of the side"
