Agree

but if we tank Pakistan 4-1 or 5-0 here, then it will be hard to justify who to drop. Stoinis seems the obvious one to piss off at this stage but unlikely JL will drop him cause "the balance of the side"

Warner for the WC, Smith for the ashes?

We should be careful reading too much into it with the very different wickets. But if Turner can't bowl his use goes down, so he's an obvious one to drop out. Warner could potentially play down the order.

I'd then drop either Khawaja or S.Marsh for Smith.

I don't see how you could drop Stoinis for anyone other than another all rounder. We can't play 5 specialist bowlers.

Other option could be dropping Lyon, i'm not sure we need 2 spinners in England.

btw, Warner just got 85 off 53 in the IPL.

I don't think Pakistan is taking this seriously.
But yeah, one could say Finch is on a roll.

Am I the only one that is genuinely pleased that Finch seems to have found some form?

Nope. He's a quality ODI bat when he's on.

And tbh he is a lock for the WC, because they will not change the captain. So it's much better to have him in form.

Im wrapt he is doing well,

Was looking like he was getting picked for the WC regardless, just needs some good performances there too

Even more happier guys like Khawaja and Handscomb stepping up
