Your 3 best forwards are English and your starting hooker is first picked for NZ. Which players in particular do you think should have been picked?

Teo if he wasn't leaving. Yeah 5 is a decent representation would be 7 if Burgess and Teo weren't changing codes

Klemmer? Please... Doesn't deserve to be anywhere near a test jumper yet.

Part of the problem is how many of the "regular" Australian forwards are unavailable (e.g. Gallen, Myles) and also that many of the better forwards in the comp are not eligible for Australia. Hence ther will be some that are a reach at this stage of their careers and he is one of them.

Gee, i thought England picked too many back rowers and not enough props, i think the Kangaroos have topped them.

So does this mean Josh McGuire will play for Samoa now ?

Remember when Ricky Stuart dropped JT for Ben Hornby and Australia lost to GB? Mata'utia might be a worse selection than that.

Inu played for NZ with less I'm pretty sure.

He was picked straight from Reserve grade, but that was back in 2007.

You're comparing apples and oranges on depth though.

Australia should have enough depth that they shouldnt need to pick a guy whose played all of 7 games, and while he's shown promise he's hardly set the world on fire.

What an utter disgrace a 7 game plodder is picked to represent Haynestralia

Jarryd Hayne should go back to playing for Fiji for this blatant disrespect

From that squad:

1. Inglis
2. Johnston
3. Walker
4. Hayne
5. Mansour
6. Cherry-Evans
7. Cronk
8. Woods
9. Smith (c)
10. Thaiday
11. Hoffman
12. Parker
13. Bird

Bench: take your pick.

Alternatively a backline with GI at fullback, a left-side combo of Tupou/Jennings, a right-side combo of Walker/Johnston, Hayne at 5/8 and Cronk at HB wouldn't be bad either.

Usually I'd agree but there's injuries galore this year. I doubt he'll even play much (if at all)...and when the blokes that will probably play ahead of him are Mansour and Tupou and there's 9 other debutants suddenly his selection suddenly doesn't seem all that weird. He can play 1-5 too.

Klemmer and Sione are gun kids and the future. I don't mind them getting a shot. Sione could be anything and this will fast track his development.
