It's brilliant, saw a pre screening in 3D about a week ago, absolutely amazing.

Cameron at his best.

Have to see it in 3d though, just makes it 1000x better.

1 review I read in one of the sunday papers said.

reviewer : quite frankly this is the best movie I have ever seen. If I could give it a 10 out of 5 I would.

My mate is a reviewer for the local paper here and he said it was easily one of the best, if not the best, movie he has ever seen.

Big wraps.

I'm hearing massive raps on Avatar.. can wait to see it

There was a reviewer who blasted Cameron and Avatar before he saw it...afterwards, it was a different story

SMH reviewer gave it 3/5 today. Reckons it is visually stunning but the storyline is a bit weak and some of the acting is not so crash hot.

I can't wait to see it.

I've no interest in it.

Although with all the hype about it I guess I will see it to see what all the fuss is about.

am i the only person that isnt excited about this movie

I'm finding it hard to get excited too.

Frankly I am over CGI "epics".... What is epic about creating hoards of computerised actors on a computer?

Still going to see this though, since its Cameron and he hasn't steered me wrong yet (although True Lies was pretty weak by his standards)

I'm the exact opposite, I think it poses a huge challenge in giving CGI characters emotion and a humanising quality. Very few films have done it to date. It's much more difficult to give a heavy CG movie a "soul" so to speak. Cameron has been a pioneer on this front for decades. Films like the garbage Michael Bay pops out aren't worth the time, but this one has my interest... Seeing it in a few hours in 3D, hopefully it lives up to what I'm hoping for.

Just got back from it then, phenomenal is the only word I can use to describe it. It's slow for the first 45 minutes or so, but wow it ropes you in by the end. Unbelievably realistic in 3d. I'd give it probably a 9/10

Saw it earlier today.

I feel like it's a fair criticism to say that the story isn't original, you'll have no doubt seen movies with similar storylines before. What will seperate this movie from those ones though is the way the story is presented to you. Quite frankly it's stunning visually and that counts for a lot when you're talking about a visual medium.
