Awards night?

Is anyone interested in an awards night for the Forum Sevens that will include the winner of the LU tipping comp and LU player of the year.

The aim is to hold it in November and have it coincide with a Christmas party.

I think it's a great idea. I'd have to travel from the Gold Coast, which would be the only thing stopping me.

I'm trying to find a few suitable venues at present and ways to subsidise the trip. Penny, maybe you could get some of the Qld based members including Willow and make a road trip of it.

We might have to start selling Caramello's to work mates and family to raise some money. :lol:

That sounds like the sort of road trip I would fly to Brisbane/GC for, just to enjoy the drive down. :shock:

I'll try and make time but I'll be very busy at that time of year. Maybe Orange would be a nice place to hold the party - I could have a venue free.... :lol:

I've found, to my own consternation, that "I think I want to be sick" works pretty well, as does just senseless and noisy whinning and fighting.

There's a couple of forummers banned from the car methinks..... ;-)

Not sure yet. I have placed a booking for November 20th but I am yet to hear back if the venue is available. If it is, no people under 18 will be admitted.

We could have some live entertainment aswell. For eg, Big Mick singing. Etc.

Im sure Jimbo, Gobbso, Ibeme, Eels Dude, Hybrid and plenty more Rhinos would show. We would love to hold up that trophy and watch the rest of the teams clap. GO RHINOS!

I reckon it should be an Awards BBQ Afternoon.
A black tie BBQ if you like... with a cricket match.
That way its open to all ages and the venue is free and BYO.

Yeah I agree with Willow. Because there are alot of people who would want to go but can't because they aren't 18.
