How bout every prick stops death riding the sharks, thats deadset all you read on here these days.
Put yourself in the shoes of a fan faced with the prospect of never being able 2 see their team play again.
grow the f**k up and start realising the success of the game and all other clubs hinges on each clubs individual success aswell

Gee mate, with statements like that, you'll never be able to set foot into Kogarah or Wollongong again!

Seriously, most succinct and sensible post I've seen around here for yonks.

They won't be the first footy club to relocate/die and they won't be the last. If they had decent fans they wouldn't be in the position they're in anyway (not to mention that Cronulla have had more handouts than most).

Just because they're from Sydney doesn't give them some divine right to compete in the National Rugby League. Look at how much bullsh*t the Gold Coast had to go through just to be accepted into the league, compare that with the lazy mediocrity which has surrounded Cronulla for 40 years... If we're better off without a team in the Shire then so be it.

It's a shame they didn't make a more frutiful effort at co locating to Adelaide. It always smacked of desperation rather than any long term goal of the club and the NRL te reestablish the game in SA. The NRL has a responsibility and should be supporting it with $'s and encouraging support from the SA Govt and the Sharks should make a long term commitment to playing a min 3 games a year there and getting members on board from SA.

Adelaide was not in the new boards plans cause It
was robbing fans of a game

that time of the month Vossy?

A partial relocation is about the best you can hope for I fear. At least you'd still get to watch the Sharks play 15 odd games in Sydney.

f**k mate, i'll sit there and pull the piss and rib right in, its all in good fun.
but at the end of the day if teams are dying and so is rugby league, and it may still be called the nrl but the comp will never be the same if teams do

Robbing fans of a game? How many home and away games can Sydneysiders see every season? How many games can a RL fan in Adelaide see every year? Yeah.
I'm sure you guys could stand to lose one game a season if it meant your future was more secure (You had the backing of the SA government and still f**ked it up...) and you were helping expand the game. Instead short-sightedness rules yet again.

BTW it's not an 'anti-NSW' agenda. It's an 'anti-sh*t clubs' agenda.

probably not, I'll donate the money to the Black Tip Reefy hospital of the mentally insane..

not enough goes into mental health care these days, especially out in the shire which it's needed the most.

Wow. Heavily advertised and 6k show up?

Iceland would have been a better place FFS.

You are happy for the NRL to throw $ at relocating, yet it costs the NRL $0 to keep them at Cronulla. Where is your common sense boy?

a good idea in theory

it dosnt work for the sharks firstly as we have a venue that we own. the bulldogs are the right fit for adelaide. an estabished stable club meaning there will be no rumours of relocation. the league should definantly be pushing this but the shark are the wrong club IMO.

also. were sh*t. who wants to watch that?

the sharks should firstly be looking to have more events at the place, combined with a membership drive and looking to attract new sponsors.

the guys at board level have made a definant swing in a certain direction. wether that direction bears fruit remains to be seen.

If they had decent fans they wouldn't be in the position they're in anyway (not to mention that Cronulla have had more handouts than most).

we have incredibly loyal fans given the zilch, nada, zip etc the club has given us over our lifetimes.
the broncos have had money and success the whole of their 20 odd years. bit hard for a fan of the broncos, whos footy life has been the complete reverse of ours to comment.
however the trend from good attacking footy (lang era) through the noddy snooze era to now.
well people are gunna be less interested.

yes robbing us sharks fans of a game, that game was against nth qld you dope, not another syd team..yeah anti sh!t agenda, cause every Sydney team has the support of 2 million people in Brisbane and for the majority of the time a whole state to get money, sponsors and juniors from

probably not, I'll donate the money to the Black Tip Reefy hospital of the mentally insane..

takes a strong willed person to support the sharks, thanks for the donation :)

The crowd was 8457 in adelaide. (Crowds for league have been terrible at hindmarsh stadium)
Compared to the 11 crowds that were smaller than it last year, the lowest was in the CC which is considered to be league heartland (6232) and only one of these games was outside of sydney in canberra all league heartlands.

yes robbing us sharks fans of a game

Its not like the game is being played at home, we moved it to gosford. On that why would we move the dogs game and not the newcastle game.
We as a club have missed a great opportunity by getting out of the Adelaide deal 10 games at shark park and 2 in adelade would have worked out great in the long run for us and the league.
