Oh, and Ron, if you are fortunate enough to track down some Steeler, do a fellow axeman a favour and pass it on please and of course vise versa.

One thing i will always admire about Slash is that, whilst everyone was tapping, dive bombing etc, Slash stuck solid with his style without a period where eddie's style wa sthe focal point, and not only that Slash rose above.

His sound is what makes him a great, just like may

I saw an interview with Slash recently where somebody gave him some sh*t about his playing, I think it was Dave Mustaine, but basically Slash had a laugh, agreed that said player (cant recall) was better than him and mustaine combined, said he has never claimed to be as technically brilliant as some of the flash players, he does what he does best and thats him.

Couldnt agree more. The thing I like best about Slash's playing is that (other than the VR playing which like the band was average, but on GNR and Snakepit) it really works for the songs, his fills and solos enhance a song.

The axl rose band from what ive heard on Chin Dem just lacks direction or a point, some flashy stuff but not really adding to the song.

Slashs stuff may not be the most technical but man I rewind and listen to my fav solos of his over and over.

Brian May is great as well, dont know who dislikes him. Again nothing superr flashy but real nice guitar work that really adds to any song he plays on.
