I'll put my hand up as being disappointed with 'Chinese Democracy'. For something so long and supposedly epic in the making, it turned out to be just another album in my eyes (or ears, as it were!). One exception: 'This I Love'. Love that song. Also don' get why people rip on Chinese Democracy, I reckon it's a pretty good album and some of the songs on there should be considered absolute classics compared to the other rubbish that comes out today.
Haha soon as I saw this lawsuit I knew it would be a rip into Axl thread. Fact of the matter is that Slash has done a very good job of turning everyone on him through the media and has even started to acknowledge lately that there is two sides to the story and that Axl's side would be just as valid, but it's too late the damage has been done really when it comes to the casual music fan. Also the fact Axl and all is other former band mates have talked and there aren't any real problems between says something.
Also don' get why people rip on Chinese Democracy, I reckon it's a pretty good album and some of the songs on there should be considered absolute classics compared to the other rubbish that comes out today. And also for the people that go on about how long it took, you can blame the numerous lawsuits and plus it's not like they only recorded one albums worth of material according to some interviews I've seen there is a good 3-4 albums worth of material recorded.
GNR rant over! You can continue with your Axl bashing now while you listen to Slash play with Fergie if you like!
Have you read any of the books on Guns and Roses and the vain up himself arsewipe that axl became after they made it big ? I feel for the guy because from what I have read he really does have some mental health issues but at the moment he is a sad parody of what he once was. Slash remains a world class axeman, what is axl now but a bloated ginger has been. Itis a shame as Appetite is one of the best albums ever.
Just on the band live I went to the gig in 93 when they were supported by skid row and to be honest on the night I thought skid row kicked their arse all over the stage.
As for metallica I was really looking forward to seeing Some Kind of Monster when I heard about it.....and then I saw it. Those guys have become alomost spinal tap like. Talk about a bunch of middle aged pussies whinging and whining for two hours. After I saw it I felt sad that a once great band had come to this.
I would think having security at their own gig would be top of the list.
Keep the crazy fans away.
anyhow ......if you can't see that I am trying to gee up metallica fans then I can't help you.
Mong didn't catch on either.
a thread about axel and slash got turned into a metallica are cooler than GnR thread..
when clearly both have a few ego problems.
IMO I would rather be in a band with Axel than Lars.
