Bagging League

I would say that 99.999% of fans on this site have joined because they love league. But there is also the bonus of having this Union forum for the League fan that can also appreciate Union. Well done.

What I find interesting is that there are threads in this Union Forum that are just there for bagging Union. And yet for the fan that enjoys both codes you do not see them creating such hate threads when obviously they could.

Another words why come into a Union forum when

1. You don’t like Union and you know the reaction you are going to make.

2. You don’t have anything constructive or positive to say.

3. You make the point that you do not watch the game, yet you think you know enough to bag it? i.e. if I watch only 10 mins of one league game per year with no scoring involved or no free flowing play I would think the game was crap, but obviously I have/and do watch a hell of a lot of games of league per year so I know this isn’t always the case.

Good points, Bayrep & ups to this site for including a rugby forum. It was a bit petty at RLeague how you could discuss any sport but union.

I've given Rar Rar many go's. I just get bored with all the kicking and it seems pointless to me and whenever I watch it I'm reminded why I like League more. I think most of the australian rugby fans are twisted league fans, union lovers or the biggest - image boys.

Also another reason why I don't like union is they pay out on League. Non stop. Whenever I watch a rugby game they make fun of us. Ohh and the lies they tell the public shit me too.

But in saying all of that I do enjoy some of the long range trys that are scored. But the thing is I can just watch the news and see the 20 - 45 sec of entertaining footy and not have to shit through the 79 minutes of bore.

My favourite part of union is the full time siren. It's sick mate. Watching all those fat forwards walk off the field is just wonderful - it's the most work they do all match.

yawwwnn. I'm getting sleepy just talking about the crap.

That'd be because Yawnion isn't a sport.

And Die hard league supporters wonder why League will never make it internationally ?? its becuase you have and always will under rate Union. The world is large enough to carry both codes and there is nothing more that I would love to see in both codes taking on soccer as a world dominate code but league has petty minded supporters and admin which limits the growth. Union will never grow fast enough to take on soccer it is to intrenched but league has no show of even getting close to Union internationally.

So remind me which code it is that has a club competition that recieves even less exposure than the embaressingly run NSL, and can only attract friends and loved ones to their games???????? IS it the AFL??? Or maybe the NRL???? No, sorry i think its neither.....................oh of course its that joke of a game they call the "running game"      ,.

I also find it ironic they call rugby "the Game they play in heaven" Whys that?? Oh thats right rugby kills u cuz its so boring and people have been known to die peacfully in their sleep.

That would be the union club scene in Australia. So what?
Geezus, what is it with some of you guys? All you've done is prove the point of this thread.
Talk about bitter & twisted.

My my. Tell me, how does disliking Yawnion have anything to do with stunting the international growth of League?

In fact it is the Yawnion admin, led by O'Neill, who are constantly taking pot shots at League just like the Victorian Ballet.

I don't underrate Yawnion. You overrate it. League is just as big internationally, the only difference being is the frequency of Tests.

I'm shocked. I cracked up laughing but now I am shocked at how someone could make such a ridiculous comment. Well done mate.

Union is a great sport, that is fairly world wide now. The only places it loses out in popularity to league is in Australia, and the world doesn't end at the borders of Australia friends.

Generally, union supporters don't need to make comments critisizing league because we are secure with our sport and don't feel the need to make stupid little remarks about league. Or come up with ingenious plays on the word of union. Say it with me friends, uni (as in university), in (as in in). uni-in. Union. Union. Union. Union.

To Tamazoid - I hope you never like union, your mind appears to not have the power to enjoy it, so you stick to league.

Which brings me to my next point. League is good for when I need a bit of dumbing down, but union has much more variety and excites the brain a lot more than constant hit ups.

As a died in the wool leaguie who deals in facts I have no probs saying that league's int'l game is far, far smaller than unions, just like league's grass roots int'l spread is far, far smaller than unions.

But rah rahs never seem willing to bag their code for the disgraceful past history it possesses and the reasons for league's stunted growth.

I feel a bit the same. I enjoyed league for years but since watching a lot of union there seems to be something missing when I watch league. Still like watching my team and state play league though.
