Whats the point?

League rules and union rules.
Tamazoid said:League is just as big internationally, the only difference being is the frequency of Tests.
And both are just as big internationally as soccer, the only difference being the frequency of tests and the number of countries who play at a high level, and the number of fans that follow it.
Tigerpete said:So remind me which code it is that has a club competition that recieves even less exposure than the embaressingly run NSL, and can only attract friends and loved ones to their games???????? IS it the AFL??? Or maybe the NRL???? No, sorry i think its neither.....................oh of course its that joke of a game they call the "running game"      ,.
I also find it ironic they call rugby "the Game they play in heaven" Whys that?? Oh thats right rugby kills u cuz its so boring and people have been known to die peacfully in their sleep.
wouldn't get too carried away with union's standing internationally. I have a good old chuckle with rugby people who do.

why are the forwards in yawnion so fat???????????
i could never understand that
must have something to do with the amount of runnign they do

I wouldn't get too carried away comparing club rugby to the NRL as you very well know the super 12 is the main RU comp in Australia and should therefore be compared with the NRL. Club rugby can be compared with the QLD cup etc.
No. Super 12 is a state based competition in Australia. The waratahs are a state team. You can't compare that to the NRL. S12 teams in Australia are contracted to the national body
And there are 1million more differences. Can't do that
Thanks

What past screeny ? The past you heard on league forums or the real past that's on books and documentaries that doesn't blame rugby at all .

You can't expect the public to be interested in more than 2 tiers of a game. Cricket has international and state based, the rest is ignored. Rugby League has NRL and state of origin that anyone cares about. Rugby union has international and Super 12. Super 12 is not a rep level. They are teams that play in rugby union's top level in Australia. It's just the way it is. If we didn't have Super 12 we'd have a national comp like League and that would be big because we wouldn't have Super 12.
I would assume in rugby league there is actually 3 tiers,NRL which is a ratings winner,SOO which is a ratings winner and internationals which do very well in the ratings. To say that in effect rugby league internationals are ignored is wrong.Even one side tests draw the TV viewers and reasonable crowds.
