A very interesting question for the general publics opinion. Webcke is the king of props. One of these 2 players would have to be the heir to the throne. Who do you think is the better prop?

Luke Bailey is better but it is appearing increasingly likely that his career will be ruined by injuries

Best prop rankings

1. Bailey
2. O'Meley
3. Ryles
4. Webcke

I find it hard to rate players that are so frequently injured.. ie ryles and bailey. O'Meley is the best prop in the game.. followed by bailey and riles, webcke and Jason Cayless

If the Australian team were picked this weekend on FORM, neither Webke or Civi? would be picked.

O'Meley edged in front of Bailey based on last season's feats. Bailey still has a bit to go to get back to his best after being out for so long last year, and O'Meley isn't even playing right now, so on present form neither is close to being the best prop in the comp, but I'm sure they'll both get back to that level. In Bailey's favour he has proven himself at the highest level with some amazing performances in Origin. I will be devastated if we lose him this year.

You wanna speak of living in the past? Shane Webcke hasn't turned out a good performance since 2003, he's tried his heart out and I respect the hell out of the man for that, he's inspirational for his effort, but he hasn't played a good game for years. Civoniceva is pathetic, I haven't seen a good game from him since... I don't remember any good games from him. Neither should be in the Aussie side.

You can't compare O'Meley and Bailey, they're different styles of prop. Bailey is probably better though.

how the dogs are travelling right now is an indication of how good o'meley is.
o'meley has been the best prop for 2 years
luke bailey was level pegging with webke before he injured himself (unusual for a dragon i know!)
o'meley is now number 1!

Oh I'm sorry, is hitting up and making 6 metres then being driven back about 2 the actions of the best prop in the world? Yeah right. Webcke is past it, all defensive lines just push him back so easily now. Not that I need to explain myself to someone who's only comeback is "What an absolute crock of Sh*t" without even saying why it is.

Danny Nutley is an 80 minutes a game prop forward. The guy just does not stop. Regularly making 20 tackles 20 hitups... A true workhorse...

Well, you didn't but I was talking about Broncos and Australian selectors, sorry.

What has Webcke done lately that warrants him being called the king of props? O'Meley has really taken that title off him, and for mine Jason Cayless has been the best so far this year. Webcke used to be the best though. I just think he's well past his best form and should have retired from rep footy last year, although i'd have him in my team anyday before Civoniceva.

Jason Ryles ??? now there's a joke... a front rower is there to cart the ball up HARD
not turn and do a fairy spin and pass to no one....

there is at least a dozen better props than that cat
