I'm sorry but St Anger was like the kid that should have been aborted.

Awful, awful album. Awful sound, awful music, awful lyrics. Ugh.
this.... but even this doesn't do its' badness any real justice.

it was like an aborted foetus had an abortion. and then spewed on it. and then amy winehouse stuck it in her vagina, pulled it out, wrapped it up in a sh*tty cd cover and sent it out into the world.

nope... still not getting close.

Led Zep lost something great when Plant's voice got farked up even though they still wrote good songs.

Cypress Hill's early stuff was excellent and fresh, Temples of Boom was underrated by critics imo but by then they'd started looking for something more from the raps than "I kill dudes and smoke weed" in every song. Later in their career they started adding "I also like the company of women" to their lyrical themes. Sadly it wasn't enough and they definitely overstayed their welcome.

really? I remember a brief comment in Stu Harveys column in Drum saying it was bad. What happened?

Cyprus Hill... I hear ya.

No what about Counting Crows. Should have stopped counting at One.

And the Beatles... It was all over after Revolver and Rubber Soul.

Pink Floyd should have disbanded after Wish you were Here, although Im prepared to let Animals sneal past.

... Seriously they went from being cutting edge to pop parody...

It should be noted Roger Waters wrote most of the Wall, with the only decent tracks being Comfortably Numb and run Like Hell - both cowritten with Dave Gilmour.

But the album is a bloated fail. An exercise in heavy handedness and excess. Its as if the metaphoric Wall around Rogers impervious to self editing and open to all the cliches.

The only thing it did was give us an anthem for The Vinyl Room "Hey kids, leave our MILFs Alone".

It's rare for me to agree with you but you called it right here. I loved The Wall as a teenager and listened to it religiously, but now it just feel like a load of RW's indulgent tosh.

Animals is quality...I even like MLOR if you treat it as "Adult Contemporary" as opposed to any attempt at being cutting edge...

Elton John after Yellow Brick Road

No I think all of his 70s stuff was good.

Even up to Too Low For Zero which I didn't mind at the time...but it definitely petered out after that. His last few proper albums have reviewed well though...

Oh and can't belive no one has mentioned U2, there stuff up to the did 90's was awesome but since Pop bar the odd song they have really gone to sh*t. Also the Foo Fighters continue to get steadily worse.

Everything up to and including Achtung Baby, great...everything after, rubbish.

Some of you guys are extremely picky with your musical taste.

Nickelback. At first it was bearable, but now it's just flat out excruciating.
