KISS - Theyve been milking crap albums, lyrics and riffs for 30 years. After Dynasty the novelty wore off. i just listened to their lastest Sonic Boom. What a load of crap. The only shining light is Tommy Thayer playing the Spaceman. he doesn't f**k up the solos like Pissed Ace used to.

went and saw kiss in the mid 90's at the ent cent and it was shambolic to say the least.
the sound was terrible - to the point of not being able to recognize songs until a chorus!
the playing was terrible - when you worked out what song was what!
the stage show was a joke - one of the guys(think it was ace) got stuck on a boom crane over the audience in a real spinal tap type moment.they finished the song then turned the lights on and it took about 15mins of frantic tech guys to retrieve the boom!

I am struggling to think of a band that I love that are still together.

Metallica are about the only one I can think of - but they haven't made anything decent in what, 10 years?

I still can't believe people are admitting to liking Nickleback.

i don't mind KOL, but conceed that their best stuff was pre sex on fire

ymh was a good album and mollys chambers was a good song but i think theyre a better band now they dont look like a thin lizzy rip off and caleb's vocals dont asound drunk and hungover (well not as much then they use to)

Try 3 years. Death Magnetic is an awesome album.

The only previous album in the last 10 years is St Anger

st anger was pretty good despite the fact they where fighting and in and out of rehab the whole time they where making it

and nickelback are decent, theyre way better than all this lil wayne, kesha crap that seems to be flooding our airwaves

I think I just read "St Anger was pretty good" and "Nickelback are decent" in one post. I feel scared :(

I know it's a solo artist but Ryan Adams

4 brilliant albums. Than he hooked up with the Cardinals and there is a distinct line at that point when it all goes to sh*t.

Disagree on Vampire Weekend. Contra is the only album I have enjoyed.

Nine Inch Nails dissapeared up Trents arse a few years back

Radiohead are much loved but really they lost me at Amnesiac and not even the bright spots on In Rainbows could bring me back.

On the flip side of the coin are Coldplay. I dismissed them after that f'ing Yellow song and they have grown consistantly

I disagree, I think Cold Roses and Jacksonville City Nights are his best (along with Love Is Hell).

Love is Hell is in my top 5 records of the last decade. I find everything else rubish. But opinions are everyones own

I recommend giving the three released in 2005 another spin one day, opinions can change over time, I think they are brilliant.

I think Gold and Cardinology are the worst, both seem less sincere to me. Still pretty good though.

There are a few songs on DM that could go straight on AJFA Melon.

Heard DM at all?

It's a strange statement to make that they haven't done anything good since AJFA if you haven't actually heard what they have done.

It is worth while having a listen to DM, there are some awesome tracks on there.

Will do. If they are going back to the AJFA sound then it cant be bad.

Except for the "soft" songs I.E half the album. Psycho Circus I enjoyed and always though "raise your glasses" would make an awesome NRL grand final victory lap song :sarcasm:

Don't expect it to sound exactly like it. It's still different but it was a massive step in the right direction again.

All nightmare long
Broken Beat & Scarred
and
The judas kiss

would definitely not be out of place on AJFA.

AJFA is my favourite Metallica album so it's a big call saying that.

There are plenty of other good songs on there as well, you will notice it's a similar structured album to AJFA as well
