Id' have to go with just about every piece of shocking repetitive music listed on this thread. Even though I am not familiar with some of it, I can only imagine.

Add Rob Thomas and Matchbox 20. Utter mainstream rubbish.

Just about any top 40 chart music these days.

This thread has reached two pages and nobody has mentioned Creed
Disagree, they have 2 different song styles. Songs which sound like Vs. Era Pearl Jam, and songs which sound like Yield era Pearl Jam.

People saying the Red Hot's really dont know many of their songs. They have gone through a fair few different styles over the last 20 years. If you compared Freaky Styley to Bloody Sugar Sex Magik to Californication you would swear they were 3 completley different bands.

And Ill third AC/DC.

AC/DC
Death Metal

Oasis probly, but they are still a good band. Same with Ramones - good band but repetitive.
On The Living End issue,i think songs on each album sound pretty similar, but the Albums tend to vary abit. Which is a pity cause their ep's and first album were completely awesome, they've never reached that since.

Foo fighters-Love their music, but in the last 2-3 albums have all sounded very similar though, not a bad thing in this case.

ACDC- Again like the Foo's, they sounded pretty much the same, except they relied heavily on the old fomula of a catchy riff & solid lead work, good thing imo.

The Ramones- unlike the above, they sounded like the same, but sounded terrible, so if you don't like one pretty much hate them all, well in my case anyway.

Aerosmith-1990 onwars have sounded all the same, the same can also be said about Bon Jovi now, both aren't too bad though.

Van Halen ( post David Lee Roth)- lost some spark after his departure and their style noticably different, they too relied on the old fomula of catchy riffs, solid lead and a good chorous, in VH's case it works a treat and hence the reason why they hav esold so many albums and have influenced so many bands.

Ben Lee- N/A

Seriously though, most people probably thinks this about any act that plays a genre of music they aren't into.

oh please.

If you can't pick a Living End song within 20 seconds of hearing it ..well then your're an idiot.

I like the band FTR.

Well considering I own all their albums, all 3 EPs, the majority of their singles and I've been followin the band since I was 16 years old I can actally pick the songs straight away.. :p

If you need 20 seconds to figure it out you're an idiot!

Which style of death metal are you referring to in-particular?

I assume brutal death in which case you may have a point

after making one of the best albums in recording history (blood sugar), its hard to top.

I heard one of the new songs and thought ...geeze that sounds like all their other stuff.

The only album I think that is vastly different is "One hot minute".
You can put that down to D.Navaro I reckon.

At least they sound like themselves and nobody else I suppose.

Navarro was the best thing that happened to that band, and One Hot Minute was a superb album. Shame what happened afterwards. I agree, they're very bland these days

what is it with the chilli peppers and guitarists? they chew through a new one every album.

i think they've kept the same bloke for the past 2, so i guess that might be a problem.

agree on one hot minute. it was a good one, but it didnt come close to blood sugar though.

its like metallica after they made justice for all. they put out a few good albums afterwards, but they never as good as justice.

now they just sound crap.

One Hot Minute is the most underrated RHCP album by a fairly large margin. The three albums from Mothers Milk to OHM are really the highlight of their career as far as I'm concerned.

I guess though when a band has been recording for over 20 years they probably deserve a bit of a break when they start to repeat themselves a little

Yeah I'm fairly impressed by any band that can release more than two genuinely high quality albums.

I could be wrong but I think they've only recorded with 3 - They got Frusciante after Slovak died, Navarro did the album after he left and then Frusciante came back for the later albums.

I know they went through a lot of guitarists in between Frusciante leaving and returning but other than navarro none of them lasted long enough to record anything.
