Whose are you on?

I am hoping the Tigers beat the Sharks and make it through. Then I'll support them. Otherwise, the Raiders.

Souths, I guess... although they're coached by Bennett... hmmm...

It's a real problem though... being a right thinking person I have to hate Melbourne, Brisbane, the Roosters and Manly for obvious reasons... Canberra too given my initial allegiance was Penrith... the Eels are just meh, Wests are making up the numbers and pretty shit tbh, and Cronulla can't seem to sort their shit out (is Johnson a key factor there?)

So Souths or Cronulla, I guess

I like Manly's attitude.
But it would be a huge ask.
Then again I like a fighting underdog so Manly it is.
(May sit next to Beavers Headgear in the fancy seats.).

Same, but no cake.

With the original 'Green Machine' the stars aligned. They peaked in 1994, my dream-team arrived the very next year.
That dream hasn’t quite worked out how we hoped

I feel quite optimistic now, as I'm sure a good coach is coming. It just has to happen.

Back during that Parra reffing debacle, Round 18, we were all still so much into the 'now'. Of course I was pissed-off with that result but, in hindsight, what happened was good. Our season turned to dust.

We all know we need effective change at the top, there was no way that was happening if we'd flattered our way into the Eight.

Raiders, Manly and Tigers if they make it... enjoy watching Raiders play the most, quite like their fullback

That's actually an interesting tangent.

Who did you support when you first started following the League?

I got into Rugby League in 1991 and supported Canberra through to 1995. I remember watching them play Auckland down at Carlaw Park as a boy.

Meninga was like a god

For me it was Penrith Royce and Brandy. Those 90-91 Grand Finals were great. And getting Brandy to the Warriors but he was a shadow of what he was earlier

Was magpies back in the day. Liked Jason Taylor as he was a weedy little bloke with good skills. Just like me haha. Seems he is actually a bit of knobend though, unlike me.

Yeah I just about got behind them because they came over to Auckland and I got a Magpies poster. David Gillespie was going around for them.

i think i supported Balmain when Gary Freeman was playing well for them.
Plus they had Jack, Roache, Pearce, Sironen, Ellery Hanley. Good team to watch. Bad luck in GFs unfortunately.

I actually spent a couple of games as a Canberra supporter before Manly tipped them up in a game and must have won a few in a row because I stuck with them lol

Was a weird feeling when they disappeared into a merger, and the Warriors were coming good around that time so I amped up my support of the Warriors a bit while still following the Northern Eagles before we returned properly

2008 the absolute peak of league for me, to come from nothing to win the comp, while smashing a cheating pack of pricks by a record score, while sending Beaver out with a premiership and a farewell try was as good as it will ever get. That noise in the stadium when he scored will live with me forever

This year, will be on the Raiders as we are absolutely shot with injuries now
