Had the camera angles shown it up better and it made for a more flashy highlight he'd have gotten more time. This regime is only about perception.
Also if the weak prick could throw a decent elbow. Not that injury should be a factor

.....Much

Depends on your definition of injury I guess. They certainly couldn’t find any sign of injury at the medical as per the hearing yesterday, as you’d expect of a clip like that.

The HIA was a nice delayed milk when the bloke realised a few seconds later he should hit the deck.

Barnett deserved a suspension of 6-10 weeks for idiocy, and absolutely the bloke should have milked it for his team. But this talk of brute force and serious injury comparing to Danny Williams and Hoppa is a bit much for a lovetap.

If Chris Smith showed one iota of the jaw Chris Rock did we wouldn’t be having this conversation.

It's a pretty weak ban for a dog shot but the most surprising thing for me is that anyone is surprised, honestly

As though the judiciary hasn't been a lottery for decades.

Barnett's a plodding grub, it's sort of surprising they didn't make an example of him so they could let off a superstar later in the year but it's not surprising they got the ban wrong. At least they gave him a solid stint anyway

You are delusional. he didnt clip him at all he got flush him on the jaw it was a grubby dog shot on a player without the ball, trying to down play it by saying smith milked it just makes you look like an idiot.

The best bit of it all was Braith calling out kent on NRL360 lol. After kent was trying to justify a lenient sentence by claiming careless not deliberate Braith piped up with, "Ive played the game and telling you what you're saying is BS". Was classic and shut up kent, well for about 30secs!

NRL missed an opportunity to make a statement and the player should count himself very fortunate.

Braith has been pretty good at calling out Kent and the other pissants when needed. It's been a nice change.

Kent trying to say you cant extend your arm for a push without putting your elbow up like Barnet did first, the guy is insane.

This is just so disappointing and one of the reasons Why the system is broken; fans care more about their team than the game.

That coupled with a macho culture of victim blaming. ‘Smith shouldn’t have been there’. ‘He was milking’.

I don’t know the extent of Smith’s injury, but here are two facts. First, Barnett elbowed a guy in the face who wasn’t looking at him in back play. Second, Smith (a fringe first grader who doesn’t have a contract for next year) has been ruled out this week’. Do you honestly think that Smith views Newcastle and Barnett as that big a threat that he would risk his career to get Barnett a few more weeks on the sideline?
