It was a herculean battle.
That's why both teams are were they are.
No momentum in 2nd half.
We got so many leg ups.
Then
Russell,Liddle drop it Burns throws into.touch Debelin throws it to nobody.
Who said we'd get the spoon.
Not going the early crow yet.

Talk about heart attack ending. But we got there finally. Im just so happy we got there. Hunt definitely played well tonight and his heart was in it. Lomax so strong. We seemed to be better conditioned tonight and mostly all tried very hard. But we struggle to put teams away. We should have flattened the Tigers tonight. But a wins a win- ill take it

It felt like they just kept giving them chances and metres in the last 10 mins.
No game management at all, 1 out runs, poor kicks etc.
Its just lucky they're very average

They got rub of the green first half
We got it in the second half
Lomax was the difference
Once they start throwing chairs and tables onto the arena "potential"...then we know for sure we are in WWE territory.

Were there any mysterious 6 agains thrown tonight?... I can't recall any, but we definitely deserved a few. This current game is puss so is poor BOD, coaches a current roster and NRL hierarchy are 100% criminals

That was literally the least fun I've ever had watching a Dragons win... it just felt awful.. both teams were disgusting, and fans never got to relax, as we were always 1 broken tackle away from a loss.. Laurie was toying with us, thankfully it went to Wakeham most of the time..

And Hunt clearly has decided he wants to be a leader again.. running from the 1st play he was trying to make a point.. we needed that so badly.. and unfortunately we are missing Sullivans speed badly, he creates that space that we missed tonight... and Amone is trying hard but clearly its not his side of the field.. but I think hes going to have to suck it up for now as Hunt will remain on the right.

The way Sloane avoids bombs and runs backwards as his first instinct, he just kills me.. the holding down sinbin is something many of our guys do.. JDB also stands out as a serial offender, we play dumb in this area.. we have a defensive line, the tackle count is nearly done... and we just taunt the ref to penalise or sinbin us by some token extra 1-2seconds of hold down.

JDB never gives up. For mine he is one of our best. If we have 4 more of him in the pack, we win more than we have this year.

The Ashes is on for the next 4 days if the weather over there permits so I can put that off until later tonight and the next days. I would be watching the Spoonbowl and crossing over to the WWC from time to time.

If we are getting thrashed in the league game though, my attention will be on the soccer.
Kept Tigers scoreless in second half but our goal line attack woeful. Hunt played with more intent tonight so that was good to see. Womens soccer get a win. Our bowlers need to get some wickets and hoping for Cam Smith to fire in the Open golf.

Agree mate! Im just talking about the way we hold down when oppositions make a half break.. im sure we dont train it.. I think the players just think they are being clever by grabbing an extra second or 2.. I also hate that we often do it late in the tackle count.

I would love to see Lomax play fullback the rest of the season and Tamale in the centres
He has to be close to getting an early contract upgrade (with Codys money), I cant see what else we will do with the Top30 spot.. or the money..

But I think Carr is very much about winning every game right now to salvage his coaching record.. playing rookies for the future not something he is thinking about. I do feel he has gone a little away from his ideals when he started though about rewarding lower grade performances etc... but I dont mean to be critical.. its a tough spot and hes done a better job than we probably hoped.. i think.
